Isn't the 10% just instore?
Can you spend these Argos vouchers on what you are actually buying? Or is it spend £100 "here, have a £10 voucher to spend on something else"?

So it doesn't really knock another £10 off the phone as per the OP?
Bit misleading then oO

Thanks for clearing it up.

Also cashback shouldn't be included in the final price anyway.
Great phone. I got the 16gb off the eglobal thread on here for 185 delivered. Non UK stock like, and I understand they are a bit of a risk, but mine is fine. Loads of android updates at first though.
Good deal. But be warned, the battery life of this phone is pretty bad. I'll be returning mine.

Have to disagree with you - best battery life of any smart phone I've ever had. I get 3 to 4 days on mine:

Granted I've only had it a few weeks (and this is coming from a 7 month old Galaxy S6 that struggled to last a day).
I can only suggest you've either got a rogue app or something or a bad battery (in which case of course send it back and get a replacement, but check all your running apps etc. to find out what's draining battery most?).

Heat for this deal though...I paid £289 for mine.

My battery last 2 to 3 days, you must have an issue.
No rogue apps. But I use my phone quite a lot on my long commute. With my Z3 compact I would get almost 2 days with a single charge. The Nexus battery instead lasts only if the phone is in standby. As soon as I start browsing and using Spotify the battery drops all of the sudden.
I don't seem to be the only one who thinks so.
hotukdeals is confusing. some deals they won't let you include quidco in the price, let alone a cash back that is post purchase. Yet they list the total savings here, which is false as the phone is still £279.
Otherwise fairly hot price, Amazon are cheaper now though.
Hi, does anyone know how long the Argos guarantee on the phone is?

Thanks

From Argos website:

"Do you receive the Google full two year warranty with this phone?"

"Hi there, I can confirm that this comes with Argos' 12 month warranty, which covers manufacturing faults. Thanks for using Argos Q&A"

Screen on time here?
I don't know if this is a universal thing but when I popped into my local Argos (St Stephen's, Hull), I was charged £249.99 and not £279.99. I'd reserved the item on line for in store collection and payment. Although I am a member of Quidco, I did nothing to realise any kind of Quidco related discount and there was no mention of anything when I paid. That's simply the price it came up at on the till. If this does apply to all Argos stores then it could be a real bargain. This is the black, 32GB version by the way. Good luck!
anyone else get it for £249.95 instore? I just activated the Quidco offer for instore, reserved it and went to pay and they charged a lower price.

Did you hit any snags re e Global? I bought and paid for through pay pal , an LG Google Nexus 4G 32 gig , They took the money immediately and that was that . No Phone , Don't answer e mails , no despatch date , no nothin' Working with Barclaycard now on a "dispute" card
online shows £279.95 but brought instore for £249& got the £10 Argos voucher
Might be worth noting that you can get an open box one from Amazon for £222

amazon.co.uk/gp/…56P

There are several "Used, Very New" ones with no imperfections on the phone itself, just a different packaging
249 Instore, 10 voucher and 10% quidco still to come. Happy days!
How does it work OP mind explaining? Do you need to book for collection from home (going via quidco) and then collect instore for the deal?

You need to go onto the Quidco website and register a debit or credit card, and then activate the argos offer on there. Then you can either click and collect or just go instore and purchase the phone, but you MUST use the registered card to claim the 10% cashback. It can take upto 24hrs for the card to be activated on the Quidco site

I logged into my Quidco, activated the Argos offer but then realised Quidco only had my old card expired card. So deleted my card, and registered my new card, but only AFTER activating the Argos offer. It still says "Wait 24 hours before using the card", will it be all fine?

If you're doing click and collect via the website how has it come up as £249? Still says £279.95 on the website, its only 249 when paying instore minus quidco?

it is very strange, it is £279 up until you pay in store. at which point it becomes £249 for no real reason. I did it at the checkout in the shop and not at the quick pay section.
Very tempted by this until I saw it in the shop. Is the plastic demo one that has the photo image a fair representation of the quality of the phone? If so it looks too cheap for me. Personal preference. Much preferred the premium look and feel of past nexus phones.

Bit gutted actually
Just picked mine up, still scanning at £249, thanks everyone!
Got this for 250 in cambridge today. Very happy, absolute bargain. Still can't quite believe it when you add in the quidco to come! Thanks so much for spotting.
I notice on the google store that they mention a birthday promotion of £35 off the 5x, applied at checkout, expires on 27th March. I suspect this may be the reason for the at-checkout discount. Which is a pity for me, as I was toying with buying this and picking it up tomorrow, the 28th!
Any idea if the instore price is a glitch? And will Quidco honour the cashback?

The cashback is 10% of the price less VAT, so about £21
