Always makes me laugh these comments. HDMI 2.1 will take years to become the next standard and only top end PC's will really make use of the 120hz side of things until the next gen consoles come out in 2-3 years. So yeah enjoying paying a premium for tech that won't actually be worth having for a good few years yet.

I spotted this, but doesn't mention 5yr warranty.
Might be worth waiting for re-stock if not.
Plus run up to Xmas might be a few more offers to make it sub £1400 again

4K OLED - beautiful I opted for the 4K DLP projector route, as I'm now completely addicted to 100"+ screen, and found a ridiculous deal on the Optoma UHD550X for 1050 shipped.
It sounds silly, but I couldn't go back to something as small as 55" (230% larger area - displaywars.com/55-…6x9)
For those who don't like projectors, this is one of the best options out there Heat OP

I bought this Tv the other week and I’m in love with it! I always liked the thought of having a giant projector setup though. How does a projector compare for colours and black levels? Guessing it is a bit worse? Does it support HDR? I love HDR!
And, more importantly for me perhaps, what is the input lag like on a projector? The LGB7 has a crazy 21ms in 4K and HDR which is just incredible to me.

Actually no I got a C6 reduced last year but that's not the point. This is a good deal for todays technology. How is it old tech when 2.1 isnt even out? I won't waste anymore of my time on people like you, so narrow minded.

It concerns me, it seems like limited ports could knacker a perfectly decent display. But on the other hand will it make it onto any of next years sets? Will they be some sort of provisional spec? And if it does, they will still be stupid money until this time next year.
It doesn't matter what you buy or when you buy it there will always be something new around the corner .

I am fine with waiting but calling the latest OLED TV series old tech coz of a revision in HDMI standard is plain stupid.

Presuming you aren't being a wind up here - why?
TV broadcasts, Blu-ray nor Netflix/Amazon Prime are going to be making use of 4K/120 any time soon, and as for consoles they've only just stepped into the 4K realm (which isn't even native 4K).
No graphic card out there right now is capable of 4K/120 either, next generation may see it bridge the gap, but you'll be forking out over £1k for it, and even then the most demanding titles will be sitting around 4K/60 comfortably. Consoles are always a couple generations back, I doubt we'll even see 4K/120 console gaming within the next 10 years such is the slow nature of its growth.
FYI, I wouldn't trust an OLED for PC use either, far too mcuh static imagery there which will cause you burn in over the course of the next 12 months.
IMO, if you can get an OLED for less than £1,500 now it's worth getting, if you're still in a pickle come April/May next year, then it's best to wait for the similar price drops on the B8/C8 for Black Friday again. If you want a TV for your PC, look elsewhere, maybe the Sony XE9005 or QLED screens.

I believe it's the exact same screen but the rest of the E7 is premium and also has a built in soundbar.
