It is but has been chaeper with 5/6 year warrenty.
The post CES price reductions happen this time every year. Definately a good time to grab last year's flagship unless you really want the latest.

Think they are at it.
Never have I seen the e7 close to a grand even with cashback and price match.
Must have used loads of saving stamps.
Still got a JL price match for £1350 but no stock

JL will only price match a like for like deal, they wouldn't match this price unless it also had a 5 year guarantee.

Very true but what I meant was that the new technology on show at ces drives prices down on current top end tvs etc

Thing is buddy, and you may not have realised this, some people didn't! Also, the E7 deal isn't available anymore, another thing you may not have realised!
No need to regurgitate the same spiel over and over again, about deals that aren't available anymore! These deals are.

You been hibernating? I managed to get it for 1.1k and it was all over hukd in November and December. JL & LG kindly handed out A LOT of saving stamps
Waiting for the C7 to come down again, hopefully back down to 1350. I prefer the black bezel.

They’ve always price matched deals with a 1 year warranty for me.

Correct.
You can still get this from PRC Direct for 1399 using code Winter100

I was in that as well. 55e7n for c1.1 now the cashback has landed. So if that never gets repeated will every LG oled deal be cold as a result though?
The new stuff they are showing at CES 2018 is a long way off being mainstream and even the TV's that will hit the high street are over £2,000.

I cant see the B7/C7 dropping any more that they have to be honest. I think stock will dry up and by March they will no longer be available. Most places already are out of stock.

My advice would be to snap it up now.

In fairness, sort of. Knowing that the E7 could've been had for 1.1k would leave a bitter taste and resentment if I had to get the B7 at 1.4k.

Not disputing that this deal is hot or cold (frankly it's cold because PRC have it for less), but I won't be reaching for the hot button for a B7 for anything more than 1.2k.

I do get bored of seeing "show me where you can get it for less right now" when the deal price is, to quote, "bang average"

That E7 was a great deal but to expect all future deals to be judged by that is frankly ludicrous.
I know right? Oh well, each to their own
I would happily take 2017 models. Theory is new TVs come with Google home built in 2018 TVs.

Yes stop bragging please I hate people like you who make me feel lost out £100 cos Crampton and Moore decided to lower the price the next day i got a price match from JL for £1,699...instead of £1,599 that you lucky sods got matched! Still bitter about it!!’

Joking aside a bit of research and patience you will eventually get B/C or even E or G series at a great price with JL...just need to occasionally search on varies websites/price comparison sites / check which promotional codes work etc etc to get a price match with JL.

I mean if you are even considering telly of this price bracket, the chance is you already have a decent set working perfectly so why the rush?

E will probably never be in that LG cashback promotion again but G maybe? In the summer? Or QLED 7/8 series?

Also unless you really want the Atmos Soundbar (which can easily substituted with a £200-400 wireless Soundbar imo) otherwise the others of the OLED range do look more slimline than E with a chunky bottom.

PS B/C from my quick research, it indicated no difference except the frame design - but that’s not to say my eyeballing through techie sites at small hours was 100% thorough...

Must be the search functionality of my app as i still could not find a deal for the e7n at 1k those that were close (£1500) didn't qualify for cashback.
I did hear of someone getting it for 995 but they used a load of vouchers which doesn't validate your comment.

The deals that were close to £1500 were price matched with John Lewis, and then there was the subsequent £500 cashback which you were elgible for.
I'm waiting for a price reduction on the 2017 B7/C7 models, now that the 2018 B8/C8 models have been announced at CES. Not expecting huge price drops, but another £100-200 seems possible.

are you for real? you keep arguing over something that hundreds/thousands of people saw and got the deal for. John Lewis price matched other retailers at £1599 and with the £500 LG cashback it brought the price down to £1099. Sorry if you dont like it but it's a fact. Continuing to argue against it just makes you look incredibly stupid.

I am for real or I wouldn't have typed the posts.
Who is arguing?
Just expressing my thoughts like everyone does including you.
No need to get emotional over it, you are the one looking stupid.

I bought the b7 55" for £1399 from John Lewis over Black Friday. In the coming months it'll go back down to this and lower so buying now for £1478.97, without the big warranty just isn't a good deal.

I am a massive advocate for this TV by the way. Best picture ever, amazing for games, amazing interface and apps... if there was no other option I'd pay £5000 for it let alone £1478. HOWEVER, its basically a buyers market right now. That price, for this beauty of a TV, just ain't worth it when you consider the alternatives (including waiting for the next killer deal). Even if it is currently the best price, I still can't vote hot. Better deals are incoming. Like, I can't tell the future, but I'm 80-90% confident. Which is sure enough to justify waiting. Anyone who can't wait should have bought it already.

Sorry to chime in here and defend the other guy, I do not know either way for sure. BUT... I invested maybe 24+ hours combined over black friday with price alerts on "OLED", hunting for a TV. Planned to buy over that black friday for months before as well. I was mega prepared. I probably read every comment posted, in every OLED deal.

I never saw one person posting screenshots etc showing concrete evidence getting an E7 55" for e.g. £1599 and then getting another £500 knocked off through that cashback. I wouldn't be surprised if it actually went through, but just saying. For all the searching I done if there were hundreds getting it for £1599 and getting that cashback it just wasn't that evident to me.

I ended up with the B7 for £1399 for my efforts. John Lewis 5 year warranty and collected from store (wanted that and not delivery!) The absolute best I saw was when Currys were doing it for £1499 and 10% off via a code which made it £1350. Some people managed to get John Lewis to match that. Many didn't me included I asked and they denied.

If you(?) and others managed to grab the E7 for £1099 or £1000 like the guy above posted then con-freaking-grats. Seriously. Awesome deal. I know the screen is the same across the LG range but the E7 for looks and also resale value would kick the crap out of the (still magnificant) B7 I bought.

There is no 'if'... it defo happened! There were many who took part as evidenced by the massive comment list on the deal. I've had my cashback confirmed so its happening. £1100 is still a considerable sum for a telly but obviously a hot deal for the E7 model. I had bought a C7 on BF for £1529 (would have been less after cashback etc) but luckily hadn't opened so returned it for a refund. The 65 was probably an even bigger bargain for those that wanted that larger unit as there was a larger cashback for that one.
