I just called RD and it DOES come with 5 YEAR WARRANTY - they will reach out to you after it's been delivered for registration etc.

Interestingly, I got a different response to this when emailing them:

"It is usually cheaper on Amazon as they fulfil the order and as they don't have storage costs for the item it allows them to reduce the price.

The warranty is also only one year and not 5 allowing them to be cheaper."

I dropped an email to Reliant Direct about buying direct vs through their Amazon shop, and to query the warranty and got this back:

"It is usually cheaper on Amazon as they fulfil the order and as they don't have storage costs for the item it allows them to reduce the price.

The warranty is also only one year and not 5 allowing them to be cheaper."

I asked them to double check this and made it clear I'm talking about the Reliant Direct through Amazon, and they said:

"I have just checked this for you and on Amazon and even though it says sold by reliant amazon dispatch the item themselves, any orders like these Amazon price the products because they have no holding costs so it is a little bit cheaper.

I can confirm it is just a standard 1-year manufacturers warranty if purchased on Amazon." (edited)

Doesn't it have quality issues? Aka bendy panel and no Dolby vision?

Worth the £200 over the c1?

Depends how precious you are with your money and where you think there is value. I have the C1 (bought on release) and have no need to upgrade, the C2 has brighter brights in HDR and that’s the main noticeable difference.

Was expecting this Friday. Still nothing. Got an escalation raised with Amazon. Wondering if anyone knows the answer to this question...

I purchased this on the buy now pay later option with installments to Barclays. A credit search was done for this leaving a footprint on my credit file. If the order gets cancelled by Amazon then of course the credit agreement gets cancelled. But does the search on my credit file get reversed also our does that remain?

I'm very credit score conscious and just recently took out a balance transfer credit card so did not want to do more than two credit applications within 6 months. I plan to buy this TV on credit wherever I get it from so will need another search if this gets cancelled.

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows

First time below £1000? The deals should start coming thick and fast on TVs now.

Hot! Especially after considering JL and RS have increased their prices to 1500.
Will probably drop them to their original prices when the c3 is out to make us think we're getting a saving.

True though the C3 is getting panned for LG chopping loads of settings options.

Ordered. I can't be bothered to wait any longer for any potential price reductions - I'm happy with £985 delivered with 5 year warranty from a reputable seller. Thanks OP

I've bitten as they confirmed 5 years guarantee to me also via Amazon messaging. Gone with the 0% over 48 months option. Can't wait!!

Ordering direct form RD gives 5 years so not sure why this wouldn’t be included for this TV being bought from them through Amazon. You might want to confirm this with RD

Really tempted by this, especially with the 0% interest payment option, but I read reviews where it's not the best option for bright rooms. I had the C1 which I returned to Richer Sounds because the reflections were awful, and didn't want a telly where I had to sit with the curtains shut all the time! Is this just part of the deal with OLED screens, do I need to try other technologies? My current (oldish) Samsung doesn't have this issue.

I think they are worse for reflections but I expect there are other makes led just as bad personally I would move the tv or close the curtains as the picture quality is so much better I would adjust

I'm hoping to get a 55" C2 at some point this year.
Not in a rush to buy and happy to wait until Black Friday reductions etc.

What price point do you guys think I should bite?

Also, what are people's feelings on buying a 2nd hand unit if it is still covered by warranty?

Any advice appreciated, have never bought a TV costing more than ~500 quid before!
    Thanks
