Very tempted by the 55" G26 for £959 delivered - but to be honest, I think I'd want the comfort of a 5yr+ warranty on that. Knowing my luck, I'd get a tv with scuff marks or a solitary dead pixel!

Refurbished OLED panel, I can bet some of these screens will have banding/tinting issues.

In this case though isn't "refurb" likely to just be open box returns from customers?

I emailed my local branch about this deal and got the following info:

The TVs come with a 1 year warranty and you cannot extend this to 5/6 years. This is because they are sold under cost to clear.

The TVs come from the main wearhouse (not your local branch) and they are either ex-repair or mail order returns within 28 days. The TVs are fully checked over and in full working order and excellent condition.

Ex-repair usually being someone having an issue within 28 days that was something minor that has been sorted.

So personally I've bit the bullet and see what I get! Now to just find a decent Soundbar...

Thanks for the info. I’ve bit the bullet too. Hoping the stand is high enough for my sound bar not to cover the bottom of the screen

I took some of y'all's advice and held off from pulling the trigger on the 65" C2 deal because it was apparently inevitable that prices would drop significantly after CES.

Well I've ordered one as was waiting to grab the 55" for under 900. Will ring my local later to confirm conditions available and see if i can get extended warranty but RS have a very good rep.
