It's not 10% off, it's a possible 10% cashback.
OP change title as there not all £1.5k and E7 is deff not that price.
Edited by: "AJ92" 29th Dec 2017
B and C are 1500 on the site, the E is 2500 which comes down to 2000 (after the 500 cashback from LG)
Voted cold. Based on cashback and even then title is incomplete and misleading.
Who else has had there LG Cash approved has to be 1 of the best deals of the year still can't believe 1.1k for 55" E7 😁

Tbh The stores that original reduced them to 1.5k and JL that matched basicly gave them away and it kinda was a mistake on both sides but still good for the customers. Starting to think JL are pissed off as to why they pms so many E7s haha

Not the C7 - that's Curry's exclusive and had always been £1599.
There is the B7 which had been down to £1350 but that has a silver surround and I want black bezels to match my setup

Fair enough. The E7 is available for a £200 premium (reliant direct will upgrade you to an E7 from the B7 if you call them and ask). So would the E7 be the better 'look' upgrade? Picture on glass, fancier remote, dual tuners etc. No surround (other than glass....)Depends on your aesthetic choices I suppose but you're already justifying choosing a B7 with a different bezel and stand for the extra anyway, only with the E7 you get hardware improvements (soundbar including faux atmos effect, remote control design, bonded glass panel).Worth £200 more than the B7?

The E7 is the better TV which I would love to have if the speaker on it was detachable as I already have a 5.1 surround system.

Plus I want to wall mount it and it would look better if the soaker want there and it was just the frame

IMO it's a far nicer glass panel etc. The soundbar is a blended design and perfect for normal viewing. The pros of the upgrade negate the soundbar for me, it doesn't have to be used after all.

Wall mounting the E7 would mean the TV would stick out alot more from the wall as the bottom speaker makes the TV a little wider at the bottom. Just wish that speaker was removable as it's a better TV than the B7/C7

I agree, on that picture it looks great wall mounted but you see I have a center speaker mounted directly above the cabinet tv cabinet below the TV with left and right speakers on the sides so it wouldn't look as clean and with it being silver it doesn't match any of my AV gear either
alltaken12329th Dec 2017

True, I think it's 1cm deeper at the base vs the C7.

Just ordered the C7 from Curry's at £1499.
With cashback it should come down to £1,376

Now just need a suitable VESA mount for it.
I want to go with an atmos receiver eventually. With a 7.1.4 setup eventually.
Does that make me wanting the E7 over the B7 largely redundant? As the B7 is atmos compatible.

It's just the grill looks a lot nicer, but not sure if it is a redundant reason.

Or is there anyway to utilise the E7 speakers as part of a larger speaker atmos build? Or no way Jose?

In which case, I would still be tempted by a good B7 offer.

Also the 65 e7 inch has a 4.2 speaker set up. Again not sure if it will work with an AV or become redundant.

That just leaves the remote and dual tuner.

I would be willing to buy the silver remote separately for £30? If it worked on the B7.

Which leaves the dual tuner as only difference and glass v metal finish.

They do not list the C7 on their site
...and they are selling the B7 for £1499
Well my cashback has tracked as £124.92 so making the price £1,374.08

Seeing as the lowest I've seen the B7 on here is £1350 I don't think that's a bad deal for the C7

And yes i know the E7 is better in that it is glass and has a few more features, but i have explained my reasons for the C7 above and from the reviews it seems the C7 is on par with the picture quality of the E7

I have my e7 (similar to image) wall mounted and bought some soundbar brackets to attah to the tv vesa so I can put my SJ8 right underneath tv and my 5.1 avr around the room. When I use my projector I pull the screen down on front of tv. I am intrested in Atmos but can't have more speakers around the room so thinking about the onkyo sks-ht588.

Don't go jumping and buying the expenive LG wallmounts. I have a cheap vesa that I still use after my previous 55" b6 and now my 55" e7 but you have to find the right holes / gaps on the actual brackets that screw on the back. I have a picture in this post of my mount.

I wonder how it will be with atmos.
Which ones will be ceiling.
Which as fronts.

Can they be calibrated for atmos object pinpointing or will it be distorted. As AV is not calibrating with it.

I don't think you can assign speakers on the actual tv. I think it will most likely sound like a couple speakers on at the same time so there could be echos eg when you have 2 tvs on and listing to the same channel but diff rooms.
alltaken12329th Dec 2017

Could you get away with some discreet cieling speakers? CT165's perhaps?

I would love to use my Pioneer VSX-1131 full features but can only do so much in a flat still i have the cheap amazon.co.uk/gp/…ers and they make the floor rumble but would love Atmos. In terms of Atmos soundbar that's just pointless so not touching them.

Seems like a missed opportunity with E7 and c7 supposedly having ceiling firing speakers. To then not allow it to be a part of an AV system. I thought ARC would help with this. Guess not.

Its more like Atmos light. Without AV. And the. Switch to full AV atmos when you have the setup. And bypass the TV Audio at that point, making C7 and E7 a bit pointless then.
alltaken12329th Dec 2017

Reviews say it does give an Atmos effect, but nothing worth raving about. With that fact in mind you would use the E7 as a better than average sounding TV. The Atmos effect from the speakers could be nice for somebody who is happy with the built in soundbar at all times.Onto pass through. Yes all 2017 LG OLED models support Atmos over ARC but it is lossy DD+ and not the more regarded lossless TrueHD. Reasons? Bandwidth. Those using the full fat Atmos from blu-ray sources likely use separates anyway and IMO LG were being real world about codecs, The chipset can't pass through the lossless signal, but why would you? For the E7 soundbar to play lossless Atmos? NO,The REAL logic behind it is simple, lossless audio is too good for the integrated sound bar solutions, chip set is not up to scratch for pass through, and as said - lossless goes into an amp if you want to enjoy it, not a sound bar. It's all about streaming services. Netflix and Amazon use DD+ for Atmos effects, you can still enjoy these over an amp from the TV ARC, this method is the most ideal and allows you to get Atmos via streaming services to an external setup. When you look at it that way it makes a whole lot of sense. Atmos 'light' from a streaming service.

Couldn't agree more.

I didn't realise it was lossy side of atmos.

Any recommendations on AV Amps?

HDMI 2.1 is making me hesitate about commuting to a long term investment of an AMP.

Would ideally want 7.1.4. To make Atmos something worth doing.

I also heard you can use multiple AMPs to even extend that further but not sure of setup or what's needed on the amps for this.

They said the Fenwick deal was a "short term promotion" and they don't price match those.... Seems like a lot of get out clauses for the price match guarantee...
