It'l be £599 by the January sales.

...well...maybe January 2018.. ;-)

Just convinced myself this wouldn't fit in the living room.... Not so sure now

Any promo codes anyone pls ?

Been looking for one of these for a while but couldn't justify £1900. At £1600, I'm biting. Tried JL price match....Will let you all know how it goes...

Why not buy it from the retailer with the offer? Do Selfridges not do a 5 year guarantee?

Don't fool yourself on wasting £1600. Why ?

Well, back in the day when LG introduced their flagship LG50PK990 it was around £1799 and quite possibly there hasn't been a better looking glass fronted TV since. this was 2019/10 and I have one on the bedroom wall.

However, we only ever got 2 updates. Within 12 months certain features were dropped. It never reached its potential and whilst it is a very good top end plasma TV, the connectivity and ability it has was never used by LG and they dropped support as soon as the next new thing came along.

So now you have a £1799 white elephant of sorts.

Screw these mega bucks TVs, buy sensible and replace the add on boxes. Glad I only paid £800 !

..... what?

This is an oled 4k display; new technology costs more. The reason your plasma cost so much was that it required a full size lorry and and entire Iraqi oil field just to ship it - to currys where you undoubtedly bought it.... Plasmas are sooooooo heavy.

I'm sure if you post a deal for an £800 4K OLED TV you will get a lot of heat.

Good tv

Utter nonsense ive had 4 updates in the couple of months ive had it and another is expected any day now to fix input lag and add hdr gaming mode. I paid £1900 just 2 months ago and i was happy as id saved a £100 this seems to good to be true.

OP it maybe some mistake or something, its to good to be true £1600 is £200 off the best price there has ever been and why would Selfridges hide it. Anyone whos got one good luck anyone else dont hold your breath and JL wont match a page that doesnt exsist other than that link if you search via size or even LG OLED you get nothing.

You're talking about a TV that was released back when streaming services were very much in their infancy. It's hardly LG's fault that these services moved on in leaps and bounds, leading to fairly new equipment being rendered obsolete in a short period of time.

I have the B6V, it boasts both HDR and Dolby Vision (which is rare at the moment), Web OS 3 and the best consumer level screen technology money can buy. It has already had multiple updates in the last few months, with others likely to follow.

But who knows, maybe some revolutionary tech is just around the corner ready to leave all these state of the art sets behind limping in its wake...that's the world of technology for you.

JL have priced matched for me, maybe lucky but true.

Reckon JL will have an inbox full of price matches for this tomorrow.... But richer sounds will price beat if you want a second option (won't be by much mind) and they do a six year warranty

Sorry utter rubbish .I've got the 2nd edition non 4k oled.paid 1100 with 5 years warranty via JL price match back in Feb.I've had 5 updates and the price over the year has stayed pretty firm. smart features are spot on nothing missing unlike my Samsung! .best TV I've owned by a country mile.

Had one of these for a couple of weeks. Blacks are great but did have issue with pulsating pixels in dark scenes, think it is where the each individual pixels has its own light and get confused as such. Motion on football not great also. Known faults of OLED at present. Really wanted a 65" anyway so went for a KS8000 Samsung. Will wait couple of years until OLED sorted issues and price had plummeted even further.

I bought from Selfridges at 1600 they deserve my money as they supplied the deal. Thank you Joe this is a great TV and a bargain for an OLED it's expensive to manufacture and the only way I can replace my Pionerr Kuros

wish they had a deal for the 65"

looks like the link does not work anymore

yep..seems dead :-(

I recently bought the 55in E6V version of this TV. Really impressed with the picture quality and sound...

Everybody that's seen the TV has commented on the clarity. I'm also impressed with the upscaling capabilities too!!

The link still works, don't just click on the link, copy and paste it like OP suggested...

the link is hidden because it is likely a special portal for certain corporate or staff members that have subsidised access

I do hope it works for you though as these TV's represent the biggest jump since SD-HD. Not just talking about HDR and 4K but the added brightness/impoved panels (near black) seems to have given the OLED tech so much more life.

Even just from those lovely 2015 OLED models (950V, 960V, 920V) there's a big difference, I'm over the honeymoon phase and it still blows me away

good luck

I really like the thought of oled especially with all the judder/ micro judder on the Ks7000, but has anybody read the problem with Oled and HDR on HDTVtest:
http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/oled-challenges-201612214392.htm
Seems like a lot is going to change in 2017,

Don't compare your crap cheap TV to this.

I've just bought one of these after testing mid range screens like the Panny DX750 and the Samsung KS7000. There is simply no comparison. It is astonishing. If you want to do 4K and HDR 'right' this is the way to go.

Link didn't work but I searched Selfridges for it and it came up easy, don't believe it is hidden?

Placebo? What are you on about?

Thank you for your enquiry.

I have looked into your request and have found that Selfridges do not currently have stock of the LG OLED55B6V OLED HDR 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, therefore on this occasion I cannot match the price quoted by Selfridges.

We carry a wide range of lines, and the competitor has to have the line actually in stock (rather than available only to order) for us to match the price. For products that we deliver, we ask that the competitor is able to deliver in equivalent timescales to us, and on products that require delivery, we'll take delivery charges into account when comparing prices.

I am sorry I have not been able to reduce the price on this occasion. If you require any further information or assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Leah

Jl just rejected my claim stating the TV is out of stock at Selfridges. Shame

Selfridges have a 5 year guarantee sorry you guys missed out but sure the January sales will get you one. The new TV,s will showcase next month but it will be a year or so before they become affordable so if you need a TV in 2017 this is the way to go. Always buy the best you can afford at the time as technology is always moving.

that never bothers me - buy on the screen quality and ignore the smart features which any decent box will always best anyway.
