The stand as far as I've read.

What's the difference between the two models?

The C7 is only available at Curry's and has a black bezel and a nicer stand (IMO). purely cosmetic differences though, they are identical from a functional point of view.

Yep cosmetic only. I'm pondering on theses too but edging towards the E7.
Just had my c7v delivered, fantastic tv 👌 I picked the c7 purely because of the black bezel blending better in a dark room on a darker wall, but a friend has the b7 in a lightly coloured room and it fits, purely opinion based choices, the picture quality of the entire lg range is identical, anything higher than the c7v is just added sound products.
I've been lookig at oled and reading up on them since day one and these have dropped nicely with my work discount I could pay £1600 BUT

I've got high end Panasonic 2014 plasma and my main reasons for not going for one yet are .

4k content (discs) very expensive

Will I notice and difference in the resolution at a distance there's not any real difference

Motion not as good

Banding is a problem

I just feel this tech is still to early to jump on

Don't want to spend that money and think wow this motion is worse than a plasma

I do prefer the stand on the C7. It looks alot more stable then that B7.

I'm still in 2 minds shall i get the 55 or wait for a prise drop on the 65

Holding out for the 65". Although conscious that it won't drop much more than this before the end of the year.

I've just upgraded to a B7 from a Panasonic plasma (vt30) and, while you have spend a bit setting them up (as Plasmas) these OLEDs are better all round. Banding is not a problem at all (Plasma was much worse) and motion is great - these are 120Hz screens. The main draw is HDR that just blows away everything else for colour depth and black levels (Plasma included).
It's true that there aren't many 4k discs (and they're expensive) but Netflix 4K in Dolby vision (the built in Netflix app does this very well) is superb and will do fine until discs and players get cheaper (and more support Dolby Vision). I have to say that 4k is nothing like as pronounced a difference as HDR. These are a real upgrade all round.

Panasonic ZT?

No the award winning

Viera TX-P50ST60 Last plasma they made
Picked up the 55B7 from John Lewis recently, and it's an amazing set. If prices keep going this way, then I may have to consider a second at some point!

Ah ok, its a nice set also.
Funny as I'm a VT20 owner and this is pretty much the only TV I've seen that seems worth the upgrade! When it drops to £1.5K I'll bite! Please Panasonic plasma keep going until then! THX mode only now being matched on these TVs!
Why does everyone seem to like the LG oled so much? I went into the store and compared the picture quality and the Panasonic 55EZ952 was miles better

LG makes OLED panels for all if not most TV manufacturers so I guess people would just buy from the original source.

Personally the stand wasn't an issue for me as I've wall mounted it, the c stand is more appealing as it's not the standard legged stand, it also has the benefit of taking up less space on the stand so it frees up space around it and would be much easier to clean around, I couldn't see another big price drop anytime soon as it's pretty much the top of it's class and it'll probably happen when the 2018 models are shown off in January time maybe, only the Panasonic thousand series beats it on picture but for another 700+ quid with less features in other departments it wasn't worth it for me.

The 952 has a great colour range but it's hdr quality and lack of Dolby vision support pushed me away from it, especially with the higher price tag.

I was in the same waiting boat ashmac but was forced to take the plunge as I wanted perfect 3D so I went for the C6. I also came from Plasma. Banding is a none issue. I may be lucky, but my panel is perfect. If it wasn't perfect, I'd just simply return. I don't think you are also going to watch a 5% test slide unless you are looking for banding. I don't have any issues with respect to motion either. When watching football, the ball is always sharp and there is never issues with blur when it is kicked fast. If I was nit picking, there is a bit of judder when panning on things in the far background but I also used to get this on the plasma, (I compared this side by side.) I'd say SD content is a touch more detailed on the Plasma but really, the colour and contrast of the OLED far outways these differences.

Its also worth considering that the amount of processing in store modes on LG's is awful. Take both sets you are comparing in store and get them to turn off every single processing setting including things like sharpness. You'll then see the OLED looks much better and the LCD looks worse.

But then there's barely any content in Dolby vision? Despite the fact that it's been out for 2 years now

What 'shows'? The last time I checked about a month ago there was about 10 shows that were in Dolby vision and the same shows were also in HDR so your not missing anything...

It's the old question of would you rather future proof the tv or not, Dolby vision has been around for a while but it takes time for everything to adopt it, Netflix is a big supporter of Dolby vision, most of the new originals are Dolby vision, and correct me if I'm wrong it also doesn't support Dolby atmos which is another future proofing tech, the main reason I went with the lg was it's a far better gaming tv, input lag is lower, hdr performance is better and the overall experience for that is better, I was always a panasonic fan, this is the first lg I've purchased but I'm 100% happy with my choice
DO you know if any of the long term warranties cover the burn-in issue?
I'm thinking of getting an OLED + 4-5year warranty (and replacing it under warranty if it develops a problem such a TV station burn in)
I've had an oled since 2015, zero burn-in

quick search shows 32 shows presently on netflix.
Not sure if you know but DV is far better than HDR as it is dynamic, not just max brightness and darkeness
To those that have wall mounted this tv what bracket have you used. The spec says uts vesa 300 x 200 but i cant find any on amazon that specifically list this as a compatable size. Not sure whether its due to placement of the inputs or some other reason.

I have a full motion bracket from asda, 2 horizontal bars across with multiple holes in, used it on my old pana led which was 400x400, and with my new c7v just used the holes at the narrower points 👌

No way mine touch wood as been fine I got it in 2014 ,great tv though after seeing these oled it looks so dark compared to how bright the lg b7 is

I've looked for about a year and the b6 was the best option which now is b7 or the Panasonic oled is £2300 now

My wife would kill me if I paid that much for a tv

Yea it was all fine, then all of a sudden turned it self off... 7 blinks. Got a local repair place to check it (changed the circuit boards etc...) to no avail. I was pretty gutted, got it in 2014 too and tbh got some good use out of it, just wasn't expecting it to stop working.

I think my limit is £1500, hopefully I'll pick up a decent one up.... Its just getting your head around all the numbers and the 10 bit argument lol even a guy like me who is fairly clued up on new tech find it boggling at times.
Can anyone recommend or link me to some Picture Settings for this unit?
