Some managed to get it for between £900 and 1k around black friday by taking advantage of an LG offer at the time. Wish I was in the market back then.

Yeah, I've just been looking for the last week or so and I keep on uncovering all the crazy black Friday prices. This price is definitely outwith the recent pricing if the QuidCo tracks at today's inflated rate.

The thing I'm less sure of is whether or not there'll be a mass discounting of these sets when the 8-series models (2018) come out in a month or so. The prices of the 7-series (2017) sets in the US has plummeted in the last few weeks.

Did anyone actually get one for that price in the end though? Iirc, there was some discussion about whether or not the already discounted price included the £500 cashback from LG or not. Nobody seemed to have a definitive answer.
What about the guarantee? I thought about posting this earlier but thought I'd get shot down for no 5/6 year guarantee
I have an LG OLED and they are awesome (65" C version) - but here is my experience of them.

Very good HD and UHD pictures - Standard definition is p and watching catchup is often equally as poor.

Its also worth pointing out the sound - as its sold on a Dolby atmos platform - but actually it doesn't work with other sounders (including LG's own) unless they are also Dolby atmos (so it can't drive other speakers)

I bought the LG SJ8 soundbar and stand (Waste of money) and was very disappointed to find this out.

Great TV but not without its limitations - and yes I am satisfied with it

Thanks for your honest opinion. I have been on the fence whether it is worth it.

I can't see any mention of it so I'm assuming that it's just the standard manufacturer's guarantee.
So forgive my ignorance but who is actually selling it? Groupon themselves or someone who doesnt want to reveal their identity?
Would be important for warranty reasons.
Sound not great I sent back both b7 and e7 as thought added soundbar on e7 would make a difference it did slightly but not enough and also beware if u r going to be gaming on this tv as hdr gaming mode picture is very dark no mater what u do spoke with lg who told me there have been many complaints about this and the where trying to sort issue but couldn't tell me when so added to worry of screen burn returned for Sony 55xe9005 very happy now

Are you happy with Sony, I know the supposedly slow android, is that a deal killer?. I ordered the XE90 and it’s arriving tomorrow. I’ve always eyed up the b7/c7 but had similar issues with possibility burn in etc as a deal killer for me

Yes, I got the 55E7 for £1099. Some did better than me and got it for £999.

The price of electronics in America vs UK is always sad to behold. We get totally wrecked value wise. I think the price will drop but not by that much

A few responded a month later that they had been paid the cashback by LG. I think one guy got 2 sets for under £1800 due to other things he managed to get. I'm tempted to wait till Black Friday again lol.
Guys. I paid 1439 from the Leeds Crampton and Moore store. That includes delivery and a 5 year warranty/guarantee. Call them for the deal. Isn't on their website.

Interesting this, I've been toying between the Sony and the LG for a while now.

Oooh. When did you do that?
I’m in the market to buy one now! Where is the cheapest with a great warranty? Any suggestions greatly appreciated!👊
Android is a bit hit and miss to be honest lg system was much better and alot smoother but picture on sony awesome and sound 10 times better than on the b7
Even for 1.5k it is worth every penny

I think it's solely due to the mention of the 13% meaning you could potentially get it for £1,321 (which wasn't mentioned in your post), as the standard price of £1,519 is not that great

Yes potentially, no mention of a 5 year warranty so I would imagine so.

That is the only thing that is stopping me going for it to be honest, Quidco is showing 100% tracking rate so I'm not too concerned from that point of view

Hmm I can get the Sony discounted down to 1300 ish, do you still think its a better buy, Sony has a better HDR max nit too and I love the android platform. I have been toying with this issue for a while.

I've read a lot of negative comments about the android platform being clunky and a lot of positives about the LG OS 3.5 interface, but if you have used and like the android platform and can get it at a cheaper price then go for it.

Based on the professional reviews the LG OLEDs always seem to come out slightly on top when it comes to picture quality against any of the top LCD/LED's, as the higher nits peak brightness offered by LCD/LED's always comes at the sacrifice of poorer black levels / backlighting issues. However no TV is ever perfect and both will have amazing picture quality so you can't really go wrong with either

Don't forget our prices include vat and their prices do not include the added sales tax. Take this into account and often the prices are not too far apart.

He's a gamer - if you're using this or any other panel for more everyday use, I'd look for a more valid opinion.

LG's OS is excellent, very slick and smooth - I had Android on a previous Sony (which died) and it was ok, but glitchy.

Head over to HDTV test

I did. Managed a JL price match with a Black Friday deal and the LG cashback on top for the E7N (model with the sound bar)

I think if both were the same price I would choose the LG. I may just sit on my hands for a bit and see what happens in the market. It was only two years ago I bought a 58inch Panie DX750b for £1300, already on its second repair! Don't want to get bit twice, maybe its worth paying the extra for the LG, darn AV forums says screen burn if you like to play games though, not sure how much truth their is in that. Hmmm if this was sold by John Lewis at this price I'd be tempted. I asked JL if they would price match and they said no.
dont buy this if it's only 1 year warranty trust me, my oled banding got alot worse after a year and replaced for a new one. get 5 year warranty you will thank me.
