It's been this price before, but it went back up to £1799 everywhere after the January sales. Guess they need to start shifting them now with the new models about to be available.

The new model of this will be more than £2500 when it comes out. Only real change is the processor

Going by what happened with the B6 it will bottom out at 1350 and sell out when everyone realises the B8 is being released at the £2500 rrp.

Then the whole thing will repeat itself this time next year with the B8 being replaced by the B9.

I went into a Richer Sounds about 2 months ago and it was this price. If it goes below the £1400 then I'll be interested. I don't want to put a dampner on it but until then I don't consider this a good deal.

Try the C7? Available at Currys for the same price with 5 year guarantee and 18 months interest free. Exact same TV with a different stand

New B8 model has the same processor as this years. You have to go for C8 and up to get the new processor
OLED suffers with near black uniformity issues and it's a panel lottery on how bad you have it so take this in to consideration if you decide to buy.
I went with a FALD LCD instead for better uniformity.

I have the E7 65 but thanks : )
+1 for richer sounds. Went in there to day to return my a (rubbish) soundbar. Mentioned the price change on the off chance and they refunded me the difference straight away! (which I then spent most of on a better soundbar).

Not heard of many issues with OLED screens. Isnt a lottery for the panel quality for whatever panel type is chosen?
I doubt this will reduce in price prior to new models. I thought this when looking for a new TV this time last year for the bedroom. In the end they all sold out without being reduced and the new model came out at more money. I was lucky and found the previous years model at JL and managed to get one.

I bought this TV a couple of weeks back from RS. Get it, you won't regret it. My only issue is an anoying audio sync issue between it and Sky Q which I haven't had chance to investigate yet.

How long ago did you buy the TV? Wondering if I could do the same, or if it's been too long now.

I just ordered the KD65XE9305 from John Lewis for £1690. They were sold out everywhere but stock just came back in on Tuesday. 18 months 0% too which is a bonus. Going by reviews the 9305 is one of the best LED tvs you can get.

The B8 will not have the new processor only the C8 upwards from what i have read
I just picked up the 55c7v from richer sounds last week on clearance for £1350, it was up for £1499 and got an email for RS vip members which had a 10% off all clearance items in store and online voucher so they reluctantly sold it, I’m over the moon as really wanted one at that price with the 6 year guarantee. I had tried a couple of days earlier to get them to sell it to me for £1350 as I was buying a soundbar at the time and I said they’ve gone for that before on Black Friday etc but they said that LG helped with those sales/deals and that they won’t ever go back down to those prices on general sale. Who knows though!
Good price may possibly come down a bit more in some sale event and or once 2018 models arrive. I was ready to buy OLED, but like 2018 Samsung's now to convince the wife!
After months of waiting for my bite point price and reading pages and PAGES of don't buy an LG Oled screen burn, screen burn, screen burn.....
I jumped in and bought this from Amazon for £1349 in Nov with 5 year warranty, (glad i did hasn't been near that price since).
All i can say is i have no hesitation in highly recommending this stunning television.
Xbox one X HDR gaming is gorgeous on it, Netflix Dolby Vision and even HD channels look great.
Buy now you will NOT regret it!

How good is the interface? Heard mixed reviews on android
People still go on about screen burn.....
I have a C7.
Played games with static UI for hours on end and I have no burn in. What you get is temporary image retention, same as Plasma, but it goes away withim1min of other content etc.
Even if you leave the screen on while away either the screen saver will kick in or it will auto power off at 4 hours and go into its auto compensation cycle.
You will not get burn in unless you seriously abuse it (static image on screen for a full day or so with no switching which you have to press OK after so long aa the tv detects no input to keep it on)
Even then I think you have worse problems in your life than tv burn in if you do that.

The "risk" is worth it for the IQ over regular TVs

The C7 is available at this price on another thread - personal preference I guess but I think most people prefer the C7 looks-wise.
