"The B7 digs up loads of fine detail, defining edges crisply without over-sharpening or exaggerating." What Hi-Fi Award Winner 2017. Product of the Year.

The finest screen technology - OLED
Say hello to the finest TV screen technology - OLED. Organic Light-Emitting Diode - OLED - TV offers perhaps the most advanced picture quality currently available. Unlike LED screens, OLED doesn't require backlighting, so the colour is consistent right across the screen, with greatly enhanced contrast levels.

The widest range of HDR support yet with Active HDR
Taking HDR beyond any of its rivals, the LG OLED55B7V is the most flexible HDR-equipped TV to date. A true 10-bit panel gives it an immediate advantage over other TVs, in that it's able to show HDR signals to their potential. Advanced HDR by Technicolor offers reference levels of image and colour accuracy. As well as Advanced HDR, this 55" LG OLED TV also offers decoding for HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision. HDR10 is widely used on UHD gaming consoles from Sony and Microsoft. HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma HDR) is a broadcast and user generated standard format that is set to become the standard for transmitting 4K signals.

Dolby Vision for dramatic imaging
Dolby Vision optimises the HDR format to give quite simply the sharpest, most accurate images possible. Dolby vision-equipped TVs, like this LG, can decode both generic HDR content and content that's specifically been encoded in Dolby Vision - a leading format in Hollywood and cinemas. Dolby Vision also adjusts the picture to take full advantage of each display's characteristics and presents an optimized picture for each scene in specially mastered content.

Dolby Atmos compatible sound system
With a Dolby Atmos processor built-in this LG OLED TV can decode Atmos sound tracks - giving you the potential for an even more immersive sound. With built-in subwoofers and a powerful 40 watt amp, the OLED55B7V punches harder the typical flat panel TV.

webOS 3.5 - the critics' choice
Widely acclaimed as one of the best smart TV interfaces, LG's webOS 3.5 operating system is more refined than ever. Updates to the hardware means that webOS is 40% faster than before, making using it a seamless experience. WebOS 3.5 uses superimposed icons, folders and side bars for clear and easy access to smart content without leaving the current screen image. New features for webOS 3.5 include 'Magic Link', 'Magic Sound Tuning' and 360-degress video.

Magic made better
Following on from previous 'Magic' technology, webOS 3.5 now has the ability to record 'Magic Zoom', letting you record to USB highlighted sections of the screen. 'Magic Link' gives additional information, such as the actors in the scene and related YouTube videos. 'Magic Sound Tuning' uses a microphone built into the remote to optimise the TV's sound, according to your room's acoustics.

See the bigger picture with 360-degrees video
Now you can see the bigger picture with 360-degrees video. When watching suitable video, this feature lets you use the remote to track 360-degrees from left to right. It also allows you to 'look' up and down and even zoom in and out. Simply put, it's the closest thing yet to actually being there!

Freeview Play for catch-up TV
Freeview Play makes catch-up TV easy. Find programmes from BBC iPlayer, the ITV Hub, All4 and Demand 5 sitting alongside over 60TV Channels and up to 15 HD channels. Simply scroll back in your TV guide to watch shows you missed from the last 7 days. Just make sure your TV is connected to the internet and you're good to go.

Smart TV that includes all your favourite apps
The LG OLED55B7V comes packed with useful apps that look great on the big screen. The BBC iPlayer, YouTube, Now TV, Demand 5 and Netflix are just some of the VOD (Video On Demand) services that come as standard with the LG. There's also easy access to music sites like Spotify and Napster plus social sites Facebook and Twitter.

DLNA and Wi-Fi make this TV part of your home network
DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatibility means the OLED55B7V will seamlessly blend with your home network. With DLNA you can stream music or video from your laptop, PC or NAS drive. Thanks to built-in Wi-Fi, even connecting up is a breeze.

Discover OLED TV and find a whole new level of realism - TV has never looked so good at this price.

Samsung aren't in the high end TV race anymore after dropping the ball on OLED, they're just charging a lot for an LCD panel regardless of the poncy title they give it.

LG make all the OLED panels so are laughing all the way to the bank regardless of the badge on the front but ironic that Sony do the best job with one of LG's panels

whats the term and condition on the code TV100?

Will this support HDR10+ in the future, I see this a winning format in the HDR wars

Nice, cheers OP. Planning to buy this and the SJ9 this weekend, so that's a cool £100 instantly saved

Well I Could buy this TV / C7 at Curry's for £1580.07 with 7% off top-up Cards from Bupa Rewards (looks like anyone can join this website)
But the 6yr Warranty is worth the extra

You can still join Bupa and was about to buy a £50 Amazon voucher with 4% off but then saw this message at checkout “Please note that 1.93% surcharge applies to Amex, Visa and MasterCard credit card payments.“ so gawd knows how to get around that.

with the curry’s voucher it goes up to 250 quid but you can use up to 5 vouchers for payment it mentions on the Bupa site- is that your experience can I ask?

Probably not. No word on this yet though.

Also what do you base your hypothesis on? It currently isn't supported anywhere and only in very early stages.

He probably thinks so because it seems to be similar to Dolby Vision minus the Dolby licensing fees, making it potentially more appealing

Isn’t this £1699 in curry’s, with £200 cashback?? Also, it was £12xx.xx from very under a promo recently... that promo code didn’t work for me otherwise I’d have bought it. Is this actually a good deal??!

£200 cashback if you buy a £400+ Speaker bar, £12XX price from very was wrong as you can only use one code at a time and not both (20% + 10% code). and only a hand full of poeple where able to use the 20% off code.

If anyone isn't aware, this comes up as a very well rated set:

Wouldn't buy nothing from Richer Sounds. They are a bunch of ****** when things go wrong from my experience at the Leicester store.

Great telly by the way. Snapped one from Currys couple weeks back when they had a voucher code.

Just the panel, same with Panasonic at the moment, but it's the electronics that drive them that make the big difference.

I think the £200 cashback in Currys is actually only if you then buy a Sky or Virgin package via Currys at the same time as buying the TV. That's what a Currys salesguy said to me last week anyhow.

My local Currys is very misleading - they have 5 year gurantee signs next to virtually every TV in the shop but that guarantee is actually only on a handful of TV's.

So it is basically that Sony chip that makes the difference in the Sony OLED's?

Apparently Samsung are close ish to perfecting Quantum Dot technology. Won't be available at consumer level for a couple of years but when it is it will blow OLED out of the water, apparently!

Be nice if there is a Black Friday price drop and the code still works????

Exactly this reason. Imagine having two identical TVs but one is £100 but supports an extra HDR format.

Most consumers will want the cheaper model

Richer Sounds also stock C7 model but can't advertise it. If you are lucky they might offer you the same discount for C7.
The difference between the two is black vs silver bezel, different stands and USB, HDMI ports layout. Otherwise both TVs are identical - so I was told. Both tellys can be seen at Currys/PCWorld.

This is correct, I do like the C7 stand and it seems to be the more popular one. but sins my one will be on the wall it does not affect me as it will be removed and Black or silver bazel will not make a difference to me

I know that political correctness is a sickness in the UK now, and a dangerous one for most of us, but not being able to advertise a TV because the bezel is black should make us all stop and pause for thought? Surely this is not the reason why they can't advertise it?
