Not a bad deal but might be worth holding out as the successor to the E7 is out in March/April so this might take a tumble in price.
Thanks I picked one up today, cracking price and backed up by the warranty and customer service of richer sounds !

there may be a future price drop on this or it may go out of stock as LG will cease production - I couldn’t resist when I walked past today
I paid £1350 for mines and it's worth every penny. Best tv I've ever owned. It'll likely go oos before it drops much more in price. 2018 model uses the exact same panel as the 2017 ones albeit with a faster processor etc and black frame insertion. Will likely be double this price as well.
I doubt it'll go out of stock, after all its a very expensive TV
Good price. Thinking of buying it
It think the new 2018 b series will use a lessor chip than the other models in the range, so different to the 2017 models where they were all the same.
Who’s better RS or John Lewis? Regarding after sales and guarantees etc

These ain't being produced in the LG factory anymore. They are selling remaining stock now.

They're not gonna sell this alongside the newer models!! You may be lucky and hit some clearance stock but in my experience you have to be pretty sharp to hit the jackpot

I'd like to know this too.

Anyone here with any experiences dealing with either?

Don’t think it’s worth the extra money. Although the bezel is black on c7 and looks better than the b7

Get the B7. Bezel is slightly nicer on the C7, but the stand reflects a fair bit from the screen and can be distracting. Picture quality and processing is identical.
such a shame the c7 is a currys exclusive

Richer Sounds stock them but don’t advertise it!

John Lewis by far. Richer Sounds feel like cowboys - when you walk in that store, you're dealing with an individual who doesn't really want you to win, whereas when you speak to anyone in JL it feels like they're representing the brand.

I've never had an issue with returns or warranty claims with JL in the past.

When my mid-range Yamaha AV Receiver broke a couple of years into the Richer Sounds warranty, the guy in the Romford store tried to get me to take the lowest spec model in the new range in exchange. I had to argue that it wasn't like for like, and wouldn't even have enough ports to plug in all my gear. Another 10 minutes and I finally left with the new version of the same level. Hope this one lasts, don't want to deal with them again if I can help it.
This has been £1,500 for a while. Hardly a cracking deal.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I’ve submitted a price match request with JL. Let’s just hope they match it

Wow. I always thought richer sounds to be good. Especially as their warranty is longer. Never had to take back any hardwares so didnt experience this. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I'm hoping for a clearance stock but something tells me it won't happen. I can live in hope though. I still have my trusty 50" 3d panny which is a Kuro panel so can't justify replacing it like it did before. And the 42" panny that my 50" replaced is still going too. Panasonic just keep giving for me! I love the oleds though.

Richer Sounds 100%, just read trust pilot reviews of RS v JL. Aftercare service is fantastic from RS, a friend of mine recently had a faulty TV which was a few years old. It was deemed unrepairable within a few days and they replaced it with no quibbles.
JL have price matched this at 1479. Am I correct in thinking the Price Match with JL is for 28 days? Even if the prices in RS go up? And if price falls further then would they refund the difference(s)? Sorry I’m asking a lot of question, if anyone is able to answer these questions it would help a lot. Thanks!!(embarrassed)

It should say the RS price on your price match email. It is valid for 28 days and price movements don't affect this. Obviously if it goes down further you'll have to submit a new request.

I sort of agree with your sentiments but then again my contempt for anything Lucky Goldstar is hardly a secret though I would question the definition of "very expensive TV" in the year 2018?

Not really sure a grand 'n half is that much in this day n age if I'm honest mate granted we've got used to technology prices dropping on older technology but OLED is very much still current technology.

Like I paid over two grand for the flagship 'Full HD' 1080p Sony 40" over a decade ago and around 1800 quid for an 'HD Ready' 720p Panasonic 32" during the Autumn of 2005 in preparation of Sky HD launching in time for Deutschland 2006

There's an argument for the train of thought that LCD/LED pricing should have dropped through the deck but that can't be said for OLED.

If anything I'd say the fact that Lucky Goldstar, as far as I know, still manufacture every OLED panel out there suggests this is a very reasonable price. Seeing they got the market cornered they could milk it to the max and keep prices incredibly high if they so pleased.

And I said this comes from someone who hates Lucky Goldstar with a passion so God knows what fan boys/girls of the brand think.

At Richer you’ve gotta deal with the “bossman” not the staff. It’s his bonus at stake for poor reviews. The service is good if you get the right man. JL are great on all counts but you pay for it. Cheapest isn’t best ... go to JL
Just picked mine up from richer but it's currently not very smart.
Can't open any apps or web store due to service being temporarily unavailable. Anyone else got this?
Tried tethering to phone, Google dns change, reset and still nothing.

And the relevance of branding me a badge snob you do realise that 12 years ago you couldn't just pick a 32" HD Ready Kim Jung flat panel for three or four hundred quid from the bargain electrials aisle of your local Aldisons or Lidlburys don't you?
And the relevance of calling LG Lucky Goldstar is? Why compare an LG OLED to a supermarket budget TV?

Picked mine up from Richer Sounds, gosh it is a excellent TV ! Just have to decide on a getting either a Xbox One X, One S or a dedicated Ultra HD blue ray player !

The relevance being Lucky Goldstar is actually the firm's rather two bob sounding name, that's what LG stands for or didn't you even know that?

How was I comparing OLED to anything when I was clearly talking about when I bought my first flat panel around 12 and a half years ago, long before OLED had even been thought of? Why would I not have took it that was what you were pulling my 'badge snob' tendencies on seeing I spoke about buying a Panasonic and then a Sony as my first two HD sets back then?

Anyway I am not so sure someone who goes around leasing Chelsea tractors has that much solid ground under his tootsies to be going around accusing others of materialistic snobbery or elitism but whatever floats your boat skipper as I got my day to be getting on with now, tschüß tschüß
Price has gone up to £1699 before code.
it's now showing as £1,699 (before code)
LG are now a million miles away from lucky goldstar. Calling them that is just trying to belittle them. The OLED screens are high end screens and LG should beapplauded for making them as affordable as they are so soon

What you just said there is like stating BMW are now a million miles away from Bayerische Motoren Werke

I am at a loss with how you can't come to terms with LG being Lucky Goldstar, there's no million miles away of the same thing
