Keep the tv and just get a new wife. Simple.
Bought this 2 weeks ago, amazing tv, u wont have buyers regret!!
Stonking price. Had mine 8 months no issues with screen burn whatsoever and it’s tuned to sky sports news half the day.
Had mine for about a month and love it!

Good price for a very good TV. Personally I would try to price match though.

As long as the said channel has advertisements, you should be fine.

It's got features to prevent that such as screensaver, timers and pixel shifting. Worst case there's warranty and the law for latent issues.

apparently screen burn in is not covered under warranty and i don't think this has been challenged legally as yet (as far as i know). shame this isnt JL, accidental cover would have come in handy :P

my point being if it's not fit for purpose because of unproven technology then I wouldn't be too concerned about cover.

JL cover accidental damage? I wouldn't pay extra for that it'd be cheaper to add a general thing to your home insurance.

If that's being watched all day then I think you might have bigger issues. A couple of hours, I don't think there'd be an issue
What I find strange when people start talking about screen burn and IR is my 2009 Nokia N86 with its OLED screen and no IR or burn. Maybe I've just been lucky?

Is it good with sport and fast motion

I read on avforums that someone did go to court and won after really bad screen burn from the ticker after watching sky news all day every day. He had a B6 I believe

Yes, but read the reviews, you'd be mad not you if spending this money. But if you don't like the out of the box settings, lots of tweaks available

Just leave it on standby every time you turn it off and it will implement pixel washer. It also helps not to run it on vivid setting.

If you do watch a lot of tv in day or have a lot of natural light falling on screen you may be tempted to find the brightest picture setting

Don't.

Otherwise I've been through plasmas and 3 lg oleds and never had burn in and i game a lot and watch a lot of sports and sky sports news.
Anybody use this tv with iptv? Trying to find out if the quality of the picture is good or not on the sd channels and hd channels. Im currentyl using a mag 256 box. Wouldnt want to spend such amount on a tv just to use youtube etc for the uhd content or a subscription with sky.
Thanks
Regarding price beat and richer, do you have to go instore and show the PRCDirect price (with code) ? Unsure how it works

what do you mean? Garbage in garbage out. But the upscaling is pretty good especially from HD. All the iptv I've done so far is via apps on the tv itself, as it's got everything I have vouchers and credits for.

If the upscaling is pretty good then that answers it .
Didnt want to get into much detail about the iptv
Cheers pal

a couple of other sets using the same panel might have a slight edge on SD upscaling but at this price, they're not competition
Soooooo tempted

Will anywhere price match this, as you need a voucher to get it to £1199?
I said already who will match and beat it! Would you like me to get it for you?

PRC are brilliant, no need to mess around with a price match.

Yes they've been in the business a long time, ever since being known as the Punjab record centre!

However the richer beat by 20 option is there... They beat the c&m Facebook voucher price for me after purchase

With the amount of messing about JL have done with my warranty payout, they're not getting my business again anytime soon

If you turn off true motion, its fine for any football game. In fact, I turn off all the processing settings all of the time.
2 weeks ago I was thinking about it . I bought it from Richer sounds for £1199. Best decision I made I don't even care if it drops another £100 tomorrow. I love this TV. Im amazed by it every time I'm watching a 4K film on Netflix.

For me, if a TV can't do good SD, I won't buy it. By turning all of the processing settings off, I was able to achieve a clean SD image that was 90% as good as the Plasma it replaced. (Nothing will ever beat a plasma for SD.)

My C6 is fine with low quality stuff like 4music, ITV4, playing things through Acestream, (IPTV I believe.)

I'm with your there Jez. Paid £1800 for my C6. It's worth every penny even though I paid more.
