LG OLED55B7V TV £1399 with code and includes free HDMI lead - PRC Direct

I'm still looking for a decent 4K HD TV for the Christmas period.

PRC Direct have this for £1399 which is £100 better than the Currys deal on the 55c7v.

John Lewis are currently price matching PRC Direct prices so you can get from JL for a £100 saving.

Depends if you class 2019 as soon. Good deal all the same.
Good deal, need the 65's to drop
It say £1499?
E7 is 1499 at bestavdeals
If you aren't using a dedicated sound system the you're better off with an e7
A proper up to date TV
5 year warranty is how much ?
Waiting on £2k for the 65" B7.
Free HDMI cable? SOLD!

Can you please link that deal? I can only see it at £2499

EDIT: just saw the code taking £1k off.

That's a crazy price tbh, are bestavdeals reputable? Also why does it have N in the name of that TV and not V?

Do you guys recommend buying from AVDEALS? How does their 5years warranty compare to JL or RS? Thanks
I had my heart set on these until I read about the image retention

They're testing the older model but agreed, it's a worry...but wondering if a 'normal user' will experience the same issues
With that attitude you’ll never buy anything you like!

You've no need worry. This year's models have pixel shift which works automatically and screen refresh everytime it goes in standby.
Most of the comments you see about this is just scaremongering

I'm reading on AV forums now, it's a worry. I wanted an oled but it's put me right off.
There is no warranty on burn in, one bloke only had TV 4 months and it's got burn in already from the sky news banner.

I totally agree, I bought the C7 from Black Friday and I have no regrets at all. No image retention at all and I have my TV on at least 8 hours a day everyday. I still get excited each time I turn it on, the picture quality is phenomenal.

I have an e7, image retention isn't an issue unless you have a static image for hours and hours. Oleds do have issues, banding, yellow tint etc but no TV is perfect
I am just looking into oled tv's and have read about screen burn but also people saying go for Samsung qled. I know everyone has different opinions however what are the pros and cons of the two sets

screen burn only happens if the same image stays on screen for a very long time(hours) . e.g display in shops, pausing video games for prolonged time. There is no competition between oled and qled.

What about watching the same channel for hours? The channel logo and also for football the score graphic?

Genuine question as I'm looking to buy an oled
I must admit, ive become concerned enough about burn in to considered a different set, perhaps qled. I was really keen on getting the OLED but this has worried me.

I never considered this about the channel logos I was just thinking about if the tv was paused why you go and make the tea or answer the door. I have a 10year old Samsung plasma and never suffered from screen burn but I never played nearly 1.5k for it lol.

Never heard of these guys before.

Can anyone vouch for them?

It's a really good deal!
I'd have bitten by now, but am also concerned over the risk of burn in as I game a lot including Destiny 2 which has static UI elements. Doesn't anyone use this for gaming and have feedback? Thanks!

Like someone mentioned earlier, these new oled tv's have pixel shift tech that helps eradicate this issue.
The main culprit is OLED light for burn in. For normal TV use I keep my B7 at around 25, it's perfect for a dark room. For general gaming on Game mode it's about the same.

HDR will whack OLED Light up to 100 but is necessary to get the best out of HDR. I really wouldn't worry about it. Unless you're the kind of flid who leaves Sky News on all day or pauses a game whilst they go out, you shouldn't run into any real problems.

RTINGS did the test with last years model and have done 'worst case scenario'.
