I’m watching these like a hawk I think they have just matched Currys who also lowered their price today
Currys online have matched this.
You were doing well with the price until you used What Hi-Fi.
To much for me like needs to drop a couple of hundred, I’m waiting to see if there is any movement over bank holiday.
Does any of the range have picture on glass without the sound bar ? Already have the E7 which is amazing but want one without the sound bar for a different room.
£1,499 at Currys and 18 months interest free and 6% quidco
Also, Fenwick Newcastle - £1,479 with 12 months interest free

I'm also keeping an eye on these, I've seen them cheaper, however, I may just go for it. Worth it imo.

What Hi-Fi?! What's wrong with them?! Legit question.

Don’t think so. I believe picture on glass is specific to E7.

They are far from respected by reviewer sites with their 'tests' that aren't backed up by anything other than their opinions and terms like, "Not the last word in..." or "...scintilla off/out...". It's pretentious nonsense without real basis and they clearly favour some brands over others.

And G7 and E/G8 this year at a premium price for it.
Bought one off Gumtree for 750 to replace my ks8000.. best purchase ever!!

What perched on top of the tv using your feet?
AO/Boots have followed suit, could combine it with the ao.com voucher on eBay if it’s on there for 1399 but then there is still no long warranty

I can see their favouritism for many accessories, cables etc and perhaps a certain brand of speakers because I am very aware of how can I put it......lesser known fingers in pies umbrella ownership through someone I know who works for one of the firms involved but I honestly don't think the publication is any more bias than anyone else in general, not for televisions anyway.

You find all the different clicks of the AV media as a whole usually seem to come to the same conclusion on each specific product.

As I have already alluded to sharing your suspicion and cynicism on other products above but really am not so convinced about their thoughts on tellies.

Which? probably do more thorough 'tests' than most and I appreciate they're a closed shop to subscribers only but even they seem to rate the same televisions as highly as What Hi-Fi, AV Forums, HDTV Test, Rtings or any of the other usual suspects do.

I would say the trick is to shop about for critical opinion as much as shopping about for the purchase price when it comes to buying to buying a new big ticket item.

These are my exact requirements; it's either this or the Q7F or the Sony. (Although the android os is putting me off).
How come argos don't stock decent tvs apart from the oled b7 ? The rest are terrible
Big thanks to cptjj for his deal at Selfridges I finally got the E7 delivered yesterday a price match through John Lewis's for £1999

I’s like to get it off my very on the bnpl 12 months also but I don’t need to. They have it at the same price as Argos but I’m not sure if I fancy just the 1 year warranty when RS offer 6 years

As long as your not gaming for hours, (without giving the pixels a rest,) this should be a great buy. If gaming is your main thing, get an LCD.

I occasionally game on my OLED C6 for about 1.5 hours a time and I've had no issues. Come to think of it, if I ever did burn my screen, I'd take a screen grab of the offending HUD, take a negative image, and then reverse burn.

this isn't price matched, its clearly price fixing orchestrated by either LG or some connected party - I watched the price of these for a while (before buying one, which I'm very pleased with) and the price rises and drops to the same amount (+/- a couple of pounds) on the same day across the country. I had thought price fixing was banned, but I guess not..

What day is it at it’s lowest
I've just posted a deal for this TV on the AO eBay site, it's reduced to £1499 with the 10% off code for £1349.10 :-D

Cool I was thinking more on the brightness, LCD has that benefit and not all things are black and very dark grey (excluding Lego batman)

I said that earlier on it you look up, it’s just the warranty that stops me, also you could make the deal sound better by showing it with the Nectar points x6 bonus which is like another’s £45.

/And read the actual forums of owners as reviews can miss certain 'foibles' like the Panasonic UK TV 50Hz motion stutter issue for their EZ OLED range and certain LCDs which share the same processor.

This is the thing regarding brightness and nit levels in reviews; Consider that OLED goes from total black to white. LCD goes from dark grey to bright white. With both, your getting high contrast. With OLED however, your getting the contrast of LCD without having to stare into a very bright light to achieve it. This means your eyes get less fatigued and more importantly, you are able to sleep better. Having owned both, it's OLED every time. Another misconception regarding OLED is just talking about perfect blacks. I find that the entire spectrum of darker colours have a depth that LCD can only dream of.

Price fixing is alive and well - the manufacturers have been at it for years.

Nice comment. I popped into Currys and was blown away by the oled! Side by side with xe90 with the same 4k footage. But the overall brightness of the Q7 running some Samsung special footage was amazing!

Sony XE93 would of been a better comparison.

Please let me know if you get the LG £500 cashback for the E7. That’s the model I would much rather prefer but I was unsure if LG paid out when JL price match.

I keep looking at Euronics E7 offer at 2399 with a UHD player. They advertise the cashback prominently on their website, making it only £1899.

(ps I’m not going to keep the UHD player but sell it on so I can buy the OPPO 203 Multi Region)

oh christ another option... the idea of the XE90 was to save the £300/£400.
picture retention is bad

I'm pretty sure that the cash back is though LG so the price match shouldn't effect it.

If there's another good price on the E7 if one John Lewis store doesn't price match try another also richer sounds said the one at Selfridges was a reconditioned set (not correct) and they'd sell me a new one but at full price.

There are hotukdealers out there that paid between £900 to £1000 around black Friday for the E7 but I was to slow making my mind up.

As an owner, I disagree. No problems for me after a year and a half.

The plasma I used to own however.......
@Buyer1024GB lucky you!! John Lewis turned down my price match request even though I showed them the receipt from Selfridges!! Yet to be delivered but I have read dreadful customer reviews for Selfridges!! Would have loved if John Lewis agreed to the price match.

I'm sure someone else before me managed to get a price match with John Lewis it took days because I was turned down but if you get the chance again try another store if one turns it down
