That's just a marketing trick, don't get fooled by it. Samsung's aren't OLED, so no chance of burn in anyway.

Nice one @Chanchi32
£480 for 10 inches. That's a killer!
That's really good, isn't the c8 the one that's a bit better? When I upgrade I'm not sure whether to go for one of these or look at the q9. The picture is excellent on these but I have YouTube mad children
I've been looking for a 65" and was tempted by the John Lewis £1600 B model. So this deal is a very good price.
Hasn’t it been this price for ages? the deals keep popping up but it doesn’t seem to be a mega deal from the last one. I’ve still got a John Lewis price match for the C8 for 1699.. but rather buy from Richer Sounds
Difficult knowing when to commit with Prime Day around the corner. I'm opting to wait.

Everyone wants 65". More demand for the discontinued model means they can charge it until demand drops off.

They will probably offer PLA model for same price. Better speakers etc...

I got offered the 65 B8 in Richer Sounds for £1,500 when I was considering upgrading my purchase, definitely worth having a chat at your local.

Or 50% extra for 40% more screen space. Not entirely outrageous, given yields are lower on bigger screens.

Yes they were Qleds....but the most beautiful picture of the lot was a 65 sony oled.. Looking at Richer Sounds offering just now I'd be interested in knowing which appears best value..

I stand corrected if it is but I don't ever remember seeing them heavily advertise that fact on any of my previous Note models that i have purchased.

How many hours of usage did it take for that to happen mate ?

I'm up to approximately 1850 hours of usage (all documented on video each month) and so far so good.

If my TV does get it then at least i can back it up with proper evidence of it's use, unlike others who just shout BURN IN and yet can't give any details ,let alone photos or videos.
Weird even with the Flash codes it was cheaper a few weeks ago.. I just checked and I can see this is any price reduction at all, I thought when I saw the flash sale maybe this is the time to get the C8 but it’s still more than the price match form JL on the West Midlands Electrical Superstore that have it at £1669. Even with JL adding £30 for delivery it’s cheaper than this flash sale...

No clue. But there is others with the issue here:

avforums.com/thr…88/

I'd guess some people won't have noticed this unless they run the solid colour test pattern.

But its massively obvious on mine, for example the cursor for the menus is very dim in the middle of the screen but bright when you move it to the edges.

LG replaced my screen when I got a burnt in square in middle of screen and purchased it from Richer. Known fault and they honoured it.

Again i am surprised that the likes of AV Forums members have not documented this stuff in more detail and only noticed when someone else pointed out their issue.I and Rtimgs seem to be the only ones who have documented usage and burn in results.

I don't think its like it used to be to be honest. I bought a refurb Q9FN the other week, it had horrendous blooming which I think is due to the latest firmware update (according to Samsung forums)

I posted on AVforums and all I got was someone talking about Wimbledon being in HLG in the Q9FN owners thread

Anyway I had to send that back, unrelated reason, it literally took 5+ minutes to turn off. I'd turn it off and the backlight would stay completely on and it would flash randomly white.

Yeah I am not having much luck with TV's.
Less than a grand, cheaper than last black friday. HOT

I know a few years ago on AV Forums that everyone was on the ball for the smallest issues and there would be page after page on the slightest problem and people would provide know more about the issues than the manufacturers.

So what TV are you going for now mate ?
