Thanks. Have a friend looking for an OLED and this seems like as low as we’ll go for one with HDMI 2.1. Will tell him to see if Richer will match/beat this tomorrow

They will without a shadow of a doubt.

Hot btw!

B9 is hdmi 2.0, C9 E9 are the only HDMI 2.1 TVs (other than Samsung 8k qleds)

Edit - correction, B9 is HDMI 2.1 but with limits, see lgcommunity.us.com/dis…ces

You sure? Pretty sure B9 is 2.1. Think it’s full 48gbps on all ports. Only thing it can’t do is 4K + HDR @ 120Hz due to it still running on an Alpha 7 processor. B9 even got the GSync update in the end

Just had a mail RS have just dropped their price to £1099,so worth a try tomorrow.
Can someone tell me what oled I should be looking for tomorrow with a 1000 budget or do I need more. All reviews I've seen seen there seems to be flaws at this level of budget

That's correct, but since it can't run at 48gpbs it's not in spec of hdmi2.1. as to QMS, eARC, VRR etc these are supported on B9 but they are supported on lots of HDMI 2.0 TVs too as it's software rather than a limit of 48gbps bandwidth

Thanks for the clarification. He’s not a gamer so if 120Hz HDR is all that’s missing I don’t think it’ll affect him anyway

LG seems to be the cheapest. Most stock of the 2018 is gone, B8, C9 etc. If you are on a budget B9 at £999 will be fine, but the real answer is what are your requirements. If you have a very bright room, then q85r qled might be better

Games is about the only thing that will push 120 anyway. Most video is 60hz and movies are still 24hz

That’s not true, all are 2.1

i own one. Processors are different alpha7 on b9 alpha9 on C9. Almost identical performance wise and spec wise.

It’s not missing, it does 120hz. Spec wise are identical aside from processor which improves image quality slightly.

dont listen to him, clearly doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

I'll go double check but when I did my research earlier this year that's what I found out.

Managed to get Richer Sounds to price match the Costco deal from a couple of days ago at £989 so assume they'll do the same with this.

Seems that’s untrue as well but not your fault as conflicting info but Vincent @ HDTVTest has confirmed it does do full 120hz 4K HDR

To be clear that's 4k.... 120hz hdr.

I assume it supports 1440p 120hz hdr and 1080p 120hz hdr?

Realistically to push 120fps in games you arent playing at 4k anyway
Biggest diff now to the C9 is the fact that it lacks detail in darker areas in comparison, UI is not as smooth due to slower processor, and less likely to receive updates to improve picture quality.
Price match at Currys for 1in10 chance for half price too
Is currys the best target for price matching this ?
