LG’s B9 combines 4K HDR cinema screen design with advanced AI to further enhance both picture and sound. Perfect Colour on Perfect Black ensures real-world colour and contrast, while Dolby Atmos sound unites with Dolby Vision HDR for a cinematic experience. Use LG’s award-winning webOS Smart platform to stream shows from such apps as Netflix*, and navigate with the intuitive Magic Remote. With this Thinq AI TV you can interact by voice, with the Google Assistant and Alexa built in. A streamlined alpine stand means its slim profile matches its spectacular visuals.

Impeccable 4K OLED Screen
Organic LED tech fuses with 4K resolution for superior contrast, colour and clarity. OLED pixels are self-lighting, meaning that they can switch on-and-off individually, for the deepest blacks and super-bright whites. Compared to regular LED screens, LG's panel adds an extra white sub-pixel, delivering ultra-fine gradation and a true-to-life colour palette.

4K Cinema HDR with Dolby Vision
HDR deepens your view and shows shades previously unseen in home entertainment. Expanding light, dark and every colour in between to extraordinary new levels, this model's picture gets closer to real life. LG's 4K Cinema HDR supports multiple HDR formats including Dolby Vision, Advanced HDR by Technicolor and HDR10 Pro.

4K Ultra High Definition
This 55” screen has four times the number of pixels than 1080p Full HD TVs, delivering stunning realism, natural motion and incredible detail.

Features:

Perfect Colour on Perfect Black: thanks to the OLED screen's self emitting pixels, colour representation is lifelike and wide-ranging, on a background of perfect blacks and rich detail, even in dark shades.

Alpha 7 Gen 2 Processor: The second generation intelligent processor is optimised for a premium OLED picture of exceptional clarity and brightness, whatever you’re watching.

Dolby Atmos Sound: immersive Dolby Atmos places sound within three dimensions for an enveloping soundscape, with you at the centre. Coupled with Dolby Vision HDR, it's a fully cinematic experience.

Thinq AI: bringing the intelligence and convenience of voice interaction to the living room, this Thinq AI TV can listen, think and respond to your questions.

4K High Frame Rate via HDMI: With full HDMI 2.1 compatibility, this LG TV can handle High Frame Rates for smoother motion, so even the most frantic sporting action is crisp and blur-free.

If it’s anything like previous years unlikely to be any substantial price drops on last years model until the new series is actually available for purchase. 2 reasons here; pricing and stock availability of the new models aren’t confirmed yet, and as there is no stock of the new ones with retailers there isn’t any urgency for them to clear the ‘old stock’ to make room for the new ones just yet.

They assume you have a 4K Blu-ray player. You could always sell or gift it.

As a rough guide, lowest price the 55B7 ever got was £950. Last year's 55B8 down as low as £935. If this is any indicator the 55B9 doesn't have much left room to move. My best guess is the lowest it might get is to maybe £899 around June time, so all depends on how patient you are for what little extra £££ is left to squeeze out of it.

Same deal same code, so the original should be reactivated. I'm sure there was a guideline around this and items going in/out of stock, same with codes within a 28 day period. Although if the price drops I've found out the original deal can be expired and a new one posted. As that happened to one of mine when the price dropped by an extra £5

It is usually a few days if expired and back in stock or if code works again. As it has been nearly 6 days, this deal is fine.
Thanks.

Oleds are same price drops as apple watches, until substantial upgrade is released, all models will keep price quite well. B7 to BX has small upgrades, ignoring that processor speed - picture is epic on all. Rest of stuff is almost as gimicky as 3d when first released for mainstr

No official release dates yet but historically around end of May/June I think.
I bought the C9 Monday from RS at £1179 emailed them to see best price. Arrives tomorrow

How did you manage to get them to drop their price down by £100? Awesome if you have but Richer Sounds normally price matching the deal with code which is £999 in this case.

Ignore me - i thought he said £889
any offer on LG 65 C9, I cant find anything less than £1849
Do we reckon the C9 will drop to the magical £999 price point??

Looking at price tracking for the 8 series, they all held strong for ages, but with the 9 series we have already seen significant and sustained cuts.
Trying to decide between this model and the Philips 854 with Ambilight and Android tv for £1189 at Costco.

I already have the LG B8 that i'm very happy with but wanna get an OLED for my parents.

Tough decision. I dont wanna pay extra for ambilight and android if the LG is going to perform better (and yes I know they may well both have the exact same panel).

Anyone have anything to add? Thanks.

Rang them up, gave them the RGB price with WINTER80 code bringing it to £999 then they knocked another £10 off
Plus hoping to get 33% sky discount on my package for 18months when I get hold of the serial number. £20 a month x 18 = £360 so effectively £629 for TV

Was that some sort of price match with another retailer (if so, who?)

Or did you literally just email them a request for their 'best' price?

Edit: Never mind, I came across your post in the other thread and see what transpired in regards to a failed price match/beat with the now expired RGB Direct deal on the C9.

Yes, I went in store and showed them logged into my account. They'll likely want the costco membership number to pricematch although some people have blagged it over the phone/email. Richer sounds will also login online and check stock is available too.

Don't have personal experience of this but I've seen forum posts indicating that they may deduct the Costco membership fee (£15) from the price beat if you don't supply proof of membership (i.e only price beat by £5). But if you are lucky and they don't request proof, then yes, the price beat should bring price down to £1779

I brought the costco membership so I have it for future use if needed
This was posted previously I think with the same code. Only thing I don't like is the fact that if there are any faults, I don't particularly like the idea of paying for shipping back. Maybe that's why some people pay the extra for Richer Sounds.

Still heat from me though as it's cheaper than elsewhere
