Perfect picture, perfect colours

Movies, TV shows, games – they all look great on the LG OLED55B9PLA 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR OLED TV. And it's all thanks to the a7 Intelligent Processor and brilliant OLED display. The picture is rich with colour and sharpness, plus you'll see all the details in the shadows. Even non-4K content is upscaled.

HDR gives you the deepest black background and bold, bright colours for incredible contrast. And with OLED every single pixel on the screen gives its own light, so it's a world away from standard, one backlight, LED. Just wait till you switch on a nature documentary and see every shade in a glorious savannah sunset.

Dolby Atmos

With a picture this good, you need great sound too. The LG B9 more than matches up with Dolby Atmos. Made for movies, get into that big blockbuster with 3D surround sound immersing you in the action. With a TV this good your local cinema might get jealous.

A feast of content

With fantastic shows in different places, it can be annoying tracking everything down. The B9 comes to the rescue with all your favourites from Netflix to YouTube there on your screen with a press of a button. You can even cycle back through the week and catch up on any shows you missed with Freview Play. So start streaming, get bingeing, or kick back and watch some music videos.

Google Assistant and ThinQ AI

With Google Assistant built-in you can switch shows or turn the volume up just by speaking into the remote. And if you've got any other LG smart home products around the house, maybe some smart lights, you can control them through the TV thanks to ThinQ. Switch on a movie and dim the lights at the same time, just by having a word with your telly.

You should get the c9 for 100 more because it has 120hz refresh rate.

Every OLED TV has 120hz panel. No matter which brand or model.
Oh.

Super hot if this was the C9

That's £1149, or potentially £1129 if Richer Sounds price beat it.
whats the difference between the B9 and C9?
atulsurg28/12/2019 19:06

whats the difference between the B9 and C9?

Second gen Alpha 9 chip
C9 has a slightly brighter panel as well so colour volume is higher and they "pop" a bit more, if you see a b9 and c9 next to each other it's a pretty obvious difference.

Why is this being upvoted? It's incorrect - most have a native 60hz panel with an "effective" refresh rate that is higher. Some newer OLEDs including the B9 & C9 have a native 120hz refresh rate.

I think £150 is worth to get the C9 over the B9 to get the latest processor?

Definitely worth it if you plan to use the next gen consoles on it, as they both will support 4K at 120hz.

Edit: Oops, that's not true, the B9 is a 2019 model so also has 120hz native.

The b9 has a native 120hz panel, the whole 2019 range does. The only difference is the gen 2 processor. I own this tv, playing pc games at 120fps with gsync enabled.

Ah yes you're right, I got confused by the model numbers - I was thinking of the B8 which is last year's model.
Looked at B9 and C9 in Currys today & decided C9 was worth 150 more with price match. Watching footy on it now, absolutely awesome
Anyone got a link to the C9 at only £150 more?

Whats the standard sound like?

It’s Brilliant I can’t fault it buddy and that’s with no additional sound bar or amp etc. I’ve got the man cave one hooked up to an LG sound bar and that’s epic
The first time I watched blade runner 2049 on this set in 4K I was blown away

I read that too. It was confirmed on lg forums but another post from LG said it will work. So until the ps5 is out I'm not sure if anything can actually prove it
