It looks like HDMI 2.0 supports 4K 60Hz, 2.0a supports HDR, 2.0b supports another form of HDR signalling. That's cummulative btw, 2.0b can do everything 2.0 and 2.0a can do.

Excellent tv, bought one at 1424, gutted to see the price drop further but still very happy
You also need support for HDCP 2.2 for HDR I believe

Hi. Sorry to bother again. The tv I’m after has conflicting information on various sources. You seem to know your stuff.

For me it will be a 20 in 20 chance of not getting it free!

Has anyone actually got a free TV?
1 in 20 is great odds of getting your money back but I guarantee you will hear of absolutely no one that does!
Given that these go under this price from other retailers these days who is giving this heat and why? £1400? Obviously cold? I guess it's just curries staffers and PR people employing groups to vote this up on the Web to boost sales?

Why would people not buy this for less elsewhere?

The only differences between b7 and c7 are the stand and the colour of frame around the screen (silver vs black). I guess there is a 5% off code which may work for both.

Also the 55b7 is available for 1299 at RS.
I brought mine Saturday from RS £1299.00. Well happy with it. They did try and sell me LG sound bar for £440. I got the same sound bar from Amazon today for £310.00. Thank god I looked about first.
1 in 20 chance of getting TV for free is another way of saying you have a 95% chance of not getting it free

In theory yes you could. The only trouble being that it's 1 in 20 each time. So you could buy a thousand and still not get one free.

Why not buy 40 and return 38......?
Don't forget the £80 HDMI cable from Currys

This is probably the reason why you can’t register for the 1/20 until after 30-ish days and the results probably won’t be known a further month.
Personally I say fair enough

After reading that I'm unclear on what the TV you're after is (the one in this deal?) and what information you're trying to find out about it. Care to post a little more info like what the model number is and what you're looking for?

B7 is £1399 at Richer Sounds?

TV100RS voucher code makes it 1299.
Same price at PRC direct too.

One entry per person per week. They've already thought of shenanigans for the 1 in 20.
Got Curry's to Price Match RS at £1299. Done in-store.
Then got 8% off that price via work vouchers.
So total of £1196 all in for the C7. Plus 5 year guarantee and the 1 in 20 chance of it being free.

How do I use this code? When I try to, after adding the B7V to cart, it says "The coupon code "TV100RS" is not valid."

It's all about if you are prepared to waste £200 or so to get the world cup on it. I expect this to be £1100 on black Friday.

I think this will hit £1100 in the next couple of months. There may be no stock left by black Friday.
Great TV so far. HDR content looks great, games look great in HDR, 4k looks grand.

The remote control setup is pretty cool, too - I told it I had the V6 Tivo and it just set the remote to control that device. Boom.

I think it's unlikely there will still be any "new" condition stock left available by Black Friday now the new 2018 models are out, it's likely these heavy reductions are the clear out whats left of the 2017 stock. If you wait to see if they drop any further you run the risk of missing out altogether

What amazes me is that people actually think that they would honor this in the first place.1/20 is good odds,in normal circumstances lol.would love to know how this actually works,is it store specific lotto,a region specific lotto,eg county winner drawn,or do they send in the numbers of total sales for the uk and apply some random number generator per tv sold to generate a winner.who the **** knows,if you do know enlighten us?but i wouldnt hold yah breath.just the usual carrot on a stick sales bull but thats just MHO.

Call me a cynic, but I think any winners of the '1 in 20 Chance' of getting their TV for free promotion will comprise almost exclusively those buying the JVC LT-55C760 55" Smart LCD TV for £368 or the next cheapest 55" JVC or Sharp TV.

However I'm certainly not suggesting for a second that their competition winner selection process would be geared or programmed to avoid selecting 65" OLEDS etc etc! ;-)

Question guys - Would I be better off spending £1150 on the 55B7V (including discount from employer and JL price match) or going for a 65MU7000 so that I get 10 inches more for almost the same price? My viewing distance is around 12 feet and the room is bright with a lot of windows.
Currently 1299 with 10% off on currys ebay

Why not just knock off another £70 instead of the 1/20 and everyone's a winner
I remember when Blu ray player were released/won over hd-dvd around 2006 ? I bought Sony TV and Samsung Blu-ray player. So to get "best" picture quality bought 1 metre super duper ultra and so on and on, hdmi cable for a -------- £100 !!! Would slap with it that Comet customer adviser. But it's gone anyways

your viewing distance for a 65 inch tv would be at least a min of 6 foot 6 inches. The mu 7000 would not be very good choice in a very bright room like yours.the 55b7v would handle reflections a lot better,so would be the better choice.so if you want more real estate and go for the mu7000 then darken your environment.
