I repair TV’s for a living and wouldn’t buy a TV without a 5 year warranty, I’m forever replacing LG screens, mostly lcd but still replace a few OLED’s . Good thing about LG is they are really good when things go wrong, would be a cracking deal if it included the 5 year warranty .

Again - no mention of a 5 year warranty. Voted cold for that. If anyone has any luck getting Richer Sounds to price match though, please report back as I’d personally bite at this price with a decent warranty

Understand it doesn’t have the warranty but some people like to live life on the edge

From mine and my families personal experience I would say quite probably. Parents Samsung lost all audio just after a year, the Hanspree I got them have a two inch coloured bar at the top after 4 years, my brother LG plasma had load go wrong with it after about two years, load of green bars on the screen etc, my other brothers Samsung plasma had pink bits when there is a very white area, that ones about 4 years old.

Just called Richer Sounds, they won't price match due to the warranty only being 1 year and that they can't guarantee whether it'd be UK stock.

Alternatively I contacted richer sounds about the b7 they said they could offer me £1419 with a 6 year warranty. Assume they would offer others the same. In that situation £21 extra for the warranty is a no brainier.

They offered me the exact same. I mentioned the c7 but they explained the stock issue due to it being a PC World exclusive and they don’t get large amounts of stock for this item.
My Samsung is now 6 years old never had a problem with it
This is the for the b7, but..

The TV is available at Peter Tyson for £1399 using the code SPRING-55b7-100 (5 year warranty)

petertyson.co.uk/ind…b7v

However, Richer Sounds will price beat if you call them giving it you for £1379 and 6 years warranty.

Saw this info on the deal for the B7 👌
Would never buy from this company again....had a nightmare trying to return something to them
My parent's budget Vestel Panasonic has been going strong for several years, it's not fair. I'm willing it to break so I can convince them to upgrade.
13 year old 42" plasma. The thing won't break down!!
back to black friday prices this, the tech price for oled is slowly coming down!

OLED still has high failure rate in manufacture so pricing reduction still won't get near LCD/led anytime soon. Pricing reduction is from reduced margin rather than improved supply volume and reduced cost. Seems like MicroLED might get in the game before OLED pricing comes down to midrange cost going at this rate, if they can put it in something smaller that 60 inch..... Think my TV has another 18-24 months before I need to start thinking about what I will need.

Richer Sounds - there are no C7’s further south than Birmingham, been on the phone to them today, they’re expecting a delivery in around May time apparently.

I can’t wait for that, I want the C over the B because of the stand and the pure black bezel which I think will look better at night, so popping into Curry’s tomorrow to take advantage of their 5y guarantee and 18months interest free credit

I had the same problem!!!!!
Bloody thing was perfect after 12 years!!!! Damned Plasma TVs!!!!
Ended up selling it in order to justify a new oled tv last year.
I've got a C7, if you are in the market and can get a B7 or C7 at the prices talked about with the warrantee, get it they are really good. I paid £1599 from curries with 5 years warranty so £1379 and 6 years warranty is a steal IF you are in the market for one.
