They'll no doubt want something for the bracket and cables.

Do you work for HUKD amazoncrazy? Just curious seeing as you appear to post this on every newbie deal.

They may not want to give you £100 back though, or at least retain some of it.
Genuine question I just bought the b8pla from John Lewis yesterday for 1299. I've got a Sonos beam. Is there any benefit at all to me buying this one for a 100 quid more ????

Probably not if you have picked it up and it hasn't been delivered already
They've just removed the free blu ray player then

For 100 more then yeah, slightly better processing, slightly better HDR and the new chipset means the OS is slightly faster.

it can do 120fps HDR, but HDMI 2.0 cannot support it at 4K, so it’s limited to in built apps.... so it’s useless as you won’t use it for gaming.

Its it’s not worth 300 more, but 100 more is a good deal.

Plus probably more updates in future as the C7/B7/B8 etc are going to stop getting updates before the C8 due to the updated chipset. Future proofing and all that jazz.

My guess is it will get different updates based on features, but TVs always die after 2 years

Meh we can only speculate. I would imagine it would get alittle longer at least of updates.
For the extra £100 though, worth the punt!
I went with the 65 C8 for £1970 from RS. Some of these 55 inch deals are killer but too small for me

Would richersounds price match this?
It’s £1399 at Essex televisions but I shied away from completing purchase as the site had no history on trustpilot and was asking for bank transfer for payment
Back to £1499

No joy, kinda wished I didn't lock myself in with Richersounds, saw the PRCdirect price this morning, should of ordered and cancelled Richersound order rather than expecting price match.
Tempted by this or should I hold out incase the Samsung q9 drops? Hoping it'll drop to £1500
Thank God for that, would have been a TV and an xbox X poorer today. Glad I slept on it!
PRC are an awful company. Never again will I buy from them. I bought a TV 10 years ago from them and after a year the TV started to play up. I called them to discuss warranty and they said that the salesman offered the warranty at too much of a cheaper rate. So they refunded me straight off the bat and cancelled warranty without honouring the agreement. It was a really odd situation. The guy was really rude on the phone and said he didnt care about the sale or warranty. I know it was 10 years ago but never ever will I trust PRC again.

Saw this and tried similar research. Nothing. Some of the prices are too good to be true so didn’t want to take a risk. The delivery prices were too reasonable

Is the PLA not exclusive to currys? Are you sure you don't have the SLC with the crescent stand?
RS price matched this at £1399 for me even after the deal expired. Always worth a shot.
I just managed to get richer sounds to price match the Quidco curry’s offer, so essentially the same price of £1399. Beware I had to ring both the telesales who initially only offered £50, then rang around a couple of stores before finding one that were willing to price match.

Moral of the story - it is worth ringing around different richer sounds stores to see if one will price match. The tv will be delivered so almost doesn’t matter where the store is in the end...
