One of the best Oled TVs of 2018, just been further reduced by curry's with 5 year warranty, plus you can spread the cost with interest free financing.

Been looking at these for a while and this is the best price I have seen it.

I'm soo tempted, by either this or the Samsung q9f, mainly because I game competitively and love the brightness of the Samsung with certain games.

Hmmm decision decisions!!

Be aware the B8 is inferior in every way to the C8.The B8 is just a B7 …Be aware the B8 is inferior in every way to the C8.The B8 is just a B7 really.

Taken from one of the most respected TV review sites (RTINGS) when reviewing the B8 and comparing to the C8:

"The LG C8 is very similar to the LG B8 for mixed usage. The C8 offers performance in the same ballpark and the small differences between the two TVs could be due to panel variance. The C8 has the newer Alpha 9 processor whereas the B8 still carries the Alpha 7 processor but we did not see a significant difference in performance."

I'm always surprised to see how many people on this site are praising the performance of the C8 compared to the B8 when every professional review that I've seen suggests that we're dealing with differences you might only notice if they were running side by side. Curry's in Milton Keynes has both sets running side by side with the same demo material and I couldn't perceive much between them.

Don't get me wrong, if you want the best and money is no object then grab the C8, but the B8 represents the better value for money option without doubt.

I recently went from a 51" Samsung Plasma to a 65" B8 (£2000 from Crampton and Moore) and honestly it's stunning. The C8 would have been an additional 25% more for something that I'm not convinced I would have particularly noticed. On a site all about hot deals, don't write off the better value option...

That's a very subjective statement. Both have their own strengths. The auto-dimming issue still present in Sony OLEDs means I would never touch them and their over aggressive ABL means that the LG will always be brighter especially in HDR.
Decent price, but buying from Curry's would be a massive no for me as there service and policy's are just rubbish.
Try to get John Lewis or Richer Sounds to price match as there service is far superior.

As a plasma user OLED would be the next move but I'm more persuaded to grab the Samsung Q9FN over an OLED as the Sammy is a fantastic set and beats the OLED's from what reviews I've read as it's best of both worlds.

Still on fence at min though

Nah I don't personally have one, just what reviewers have said on the new dimming function and what effect it has the picture.
I suppose if you don't know what a scene is supposed to look like (specially space scenes as bright white light scattered around the screen seems to be the most effected by it) you wouldn't notice the difference. Its a loss of detail is all, if you sit far away you probably can't see it.

I hope you're right but I'm thinking it might not be...
Been waiting for the LG c8 65 inch to drop to the same as the B7/C7 (£2000), looks like the B8 is taking the entry level model this year around and the C8 has jacked up prices.

Sigh
