LG’s C9 combines 4K HDR cinema screen design with advanced AI to further enhance both picture and sound. Perfect Colour on Perfect Black ensures real-world colour and contrast, while Dolby Atmos sound unites with Dolby Vision HDR for a cinematic experience. Use LG’s award-winning webOS Smart platform to stream shows from such apps as Netflix*, and navigate with the intuitive Magic Remote. With this Thinq AI TV you can interact by voice, with the Google Assistant and Alexa built in. Front-firing sound and a streamlined alpine stand mean its slim profile matches its spectacular visuals.

Best price at the moment with a decent warranty. Personally will be holding out for another £100-£150 off but that may take a while.

It’s been this price most places for a while now... I still keep hoping it’s gonna hit £1150 again but to be fair it’s probably not the best time to be shelling out on non essentials less you’re minted which I’m not.

What does e9 do differently? I wanted the 120hz hdmi 2.1 so this will be ok for next gen consoles?

Just mainly better audio. No use if you have an audio system, for example.

Same TV but with a slightly nicer design and speakers. The speakers aren't worth a penny for me because I use my own sound system like most others anyway. I'm not sure it's worth the extra for the nicer stand. Yes it's 2.1 and supports next gen console features such as VRR and ALLM for Series X and possibly PS5 too.
Been this price for a while now.
The new TV range will drop soon.. Then last year's models will drop below £1000 within the next 2 months
Still waiting for another sweet b9 or C9 price since all my events are cancelled I think I can justify the C9 now 😜

You're forgetting about a minor health issue affecting production, distribution and currencies. Not to mention increased demand. Prices are only going up from here on out.

What about job and economic uncertainty? Not sure if buying £1k plus TV is top of most people's list.

It's mostly the low paid losing out financially and they wouldn't have purchased a £1k TV to begin with. For everyone else, it's not like we live in a society of savers. The world is run on debt, which is partly why the economic crisis will be so bad.

Low paid probably covered by universal credit. Besides low paid have access to credit and their take home after benefits etc is not much worse than a person on a median salary renting or paying a mortgage. Higher paid probably have mortgages and rent to pay so this will be a priority. This crisis is going to hurt a lot of people and we don't know how or when things will pick up. Self employed, cash in hand and limited contract workers are taking big hits too.
It looks like South Korea being a big producer of tech seems?, to have control of the virus. Sellers might have to unload stock and with wages being restricted, at lower prices.

They're outing more televisions now than in the run-up to Christmas because of Coronation Street Virus, an educated guess says unless you're extremely lucky due to various circumstances like I was a couple or three weeks ago you won't be getting this telly for under a grand all year, I am buzzing I managed to snare it at £912.13 lay out

Plus Brexit end of the year
Still online sales.. And they won't sell new TVs at the same price as the old ones.. So the old one will have to drop in price because online retailers will not want to keep stock and that's not going anywhere.. So will drop in price.

That started the beginning of January..and this is the official release saying it hasn't hampered production.. and LG has no official release saying it will.. lgcorp.com/med…655

You reckon the new 55" CX is going to launch at 1300 quid then?

Look when new TVs come out the old ones sell for less.. and they usually start to go down in price like a lead weight in the sea. If people can wait a couple of months they'll save a few hundred quid. Let's say there was even a £300 gap do you really think people that are going to spend over £1000 would say "oh actually I better buy the old one"... Come on

Like those who've waited a couple of months for the 2018 55" C8 you mean?

I'd have thought you'd let it go by now but for some reason you just keep persisting with coming back and making yourself look more silly each time a quick look on Vaughan's website says something very very different.

You seem to have omitted the figure 1 in front of the 999 and for a display model too one hastens to add

What's silly is you not realising if there is a spike in people buying something the price goes up... To help you! go to price spy, not sure if allowed to show a picture from their site but today the cheapest price is now £50 extra at £1049

You've been telling anyone that will listen they'll get a 55" C9 for two bob if they wait a fortnight so when I point out that even the previous year's C8 is holding its price on four figures rather than accept you're possibly being a tad optimistic you're digging out the most vague random individual deals on a two year old telly that might not even actually be available anyway.

The fact you're changing the goalposts from a brand new C9 to a display model C8 shows how desperate you are to be right so well done, your relentless quest for the most amazing LG OLED TV prices makes you king of kings, oracle of oracles, guru of gurus, god of gods........I bow before you and pledge my lifelong devotion to you big Al!

Thanks but in a way you could ask..( instead of focusing on worshiping me ) Why would a older model hold its money £200-300 off the newer model? The reason could be because a much higher rate of TV sales while nearly everyone is at home. I'm in the same situation, the LG SM9800 is just a IPS TV but £1299-odd, way dearer than the Samsung QLEDs but strangely holding its price
