I DONT WANT IT BUT I DO
Edited by: "jaju123" 29th Nov 2019
Woooooo! I can practically taste the 65" C9 discount!
Anyone thinking this will go any lower today?

Anyone thinking this will go any lower today?

They adjusted their BLACK80 to BLACK100 to compete with the others. Fingers crossed.
I want it but if it's £1200 at Costco I just don't see this as a deal.

Now unfortunately I live in the South West so I don't have a Costco near me but still. Here's hoping Cyber Money gives something better.

Same code on 65" which makes it £1899

Nice one @rev6
Yeah, I’d noticed, been waiting for a £1200-£1250 deal to pull the trigger. Got today off and I’m literally going to jump in the car and get one but don’t want to jump the gun or wait too late...eeek

On the plus side, I got Richer Sounds to price match (and beat by £20) the C9 at Costco yesterday. I told them I had a picture of the in-store Costco price and they were fine with it, but I think it's up to each managers discretion.

Were in the south West as their is one in Avonmouth and Cardiff, or do you live further south like in Devon / Cornwall area?

Devon sadly.
Too bad mate. Bit of a trek to Avonmouth
£1199 in Costco
Still only £74 cheaper than what they were selling them for at start of November.

come on RS, another £100 off please!

B9 is @ 1000
C9 is @ 1300 (this deal and currys)
E9 is @ 1400

Both deals for B and E are better than this one, in my opinion.

Me too. £1,800 for 65” C9 (or possibly £1,200 for 55”) and I’m in.

With John Lewis having reduced to £1299 do they also offer to refund the difference if cheaper anywhere else for 28 days?
Not sure. Think I'm going with RS with the same price but 6 years warran
This is on my shortlist too...

Excellent reviews and has Dolby Vision.

Thanks to this post, I’ve called John Lewis to price match their own and saved £100

First I called John Lewis store - customer Service, he told me in store we can only amend and price match upto £75 SMH
And go to John Lewis website to request price match.

In the end I called Customer Service department 0345 694 9049 and he changed it without a question or problems.

In-store customer service needs to learn their own policies

How likely are the C9/E9 etc. to be knocking around this time next year??

Asking for a friend...
Will they stay the same price on Cyber Monday ?

This is the best comparison C9 vs E9 on the Internet. I went for C9 since it’s better for gaming and has the lowest input lag.

rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-c8-vs-lg-c9/600/802

If you want superior and top tv is Panasonic GZ2000 4K OLED TV (2019) for £2.499.00 avforums.com/reviews/panasonic-gz2000-4k-oled-tv-review.15753

Or If you’re too Rich man, buy one of Sony BVM-X300 each for all of us! Lol

Cost 35k for ‘best of the best from Sony. True Native 4K.

https://pro.sony/en_GB/products/broadcastpromonitors/bvm-x300-v2

TL;DR Probably reduce by £200-400 around November 2020. Since new OLED 4K 2.1 HDMI will be released around early 2020 throughout the year.

That's C8 vs E9? C9 and E9 should have the same input lag. And they already have HDMI 2.1

Appreciate the effort dude.

Currently packing a Samsung KS7000, had it for a couple of years now and do want to make the jump to OLED next year, with a keen eye on these 2 as they have HDMI 2.1 and eArc connections, as well as all the standards you'd expect (Dolby vision etc)

You’re welcome. Indeed, according to LG both support 2.1 HDMI but there isn’t any in the market to test it. Anyway it’s upto you if you want to spend or save.

Or want for next year. Atm I ordered C9 55inc for £1299 from John Lewis with 5 years warranty to replace my 10 years old 50inc Samsung in the living room. So it might give me future proof for PS5 but most likely I will buy tv in 2020 or 21 for PS5.

Why would you upgrade a C9 in 2020/2021 for the PS5? The C9 will be perfect for it.
