as an ex LG ambassador id shout NO its NOT! but been years but really id be stunned if they are!
As an ex LG ambassador, I'm sure your opinion is unbiased....
Seriously though, it depends on the model and/or year.
Where are the videos on YouTube, just so many when I search the title I'm unsure as to which one you have created. If you have a link to them that would be nice 😁
There are some great videos showing it doesn't happen on the new panels except in the most extreme cases. The TV has tech (AI as they'd like to call it ) to scan for static logos/game huds which will then be brimmed slightly, by a level which isn't noticeable to me at least. This reduces the chances of burn in even more
Edit: I own a C9-55".
Where from and month you bought it? and was it in New condition? Will be good to compare against when near Black Friday
Where from though :/
Once you’ve seen me you won’t forget what i look like lol
I have sent you a PM
Outside the luck i got,
I don't usually find your UK deals on tvs that good in comparison to other tech i often get from the UK. Thats the price the 55 was on launch on most euro retailers, portugal, spain, france etc. Currently u can grab the 55 for 1700 euros here in Portugal, no promo, thats 1500 pounds. You guys should search outside your island
Are you that bodybuilder guy?
Yes i have been known to lift weights now and again
Cool. I've watched a few of your videos. Anyone who owns or is considering an OLED should definitely check out your videos.
I have the Oled B8 55" model btw. I'm curious to know if the risk of burn in is reduced when "black frame insertion" is switched on but can't seem to find much information.
Hi could you pm me a link please - posted already but forgot to quote you
Done
Could you use your TV as a monitor as a test for a while and see what happens?
People buy OLED’s to watch TV,films and play games on,not really to use as a monitor as that would no doubt cause burn in and most people would probably know this (I suspect you do to).
Best thing to use as a monitor is,a monitor
So what is the real reason for you ask? I think i already know the answer, but entertain me anyway.
Apologies In advance if you are being serious but quite often questions similar to yours are not genuine and are just a ploy to reply back with some twatish comment regarding burn in,and that is getting a bit YAWN now.
I'm seriously buying one to use as a PC monitor, hence my ask. Its getting a gsync update soon, has the best blacks in the business and the best HDR performance. Also the low input lag has made me re-evaluate whether I should stick my CRG9 £1,100 monitor or add in the extra £600 and get a LG 55C9 from Costco.
Not trying to entertain anyone, completley genuine, not being twatish.
Yes the comment was related to my primary concern burn in, but not out of being a twat or trying to yawn you, but because I kind of have faith that it might just work as a PC monitor aslong as someone has a secondary screen to use for those more mundane tasks which require a lot more static imagery.
Well let me start by saying sorry that I got the wrong end of the stick but there are people that do like to take the pee and waste my time when all I’m trying to do is help others out.
As for me trying it out, well that isn’t something that i can do unforas we don’t have a PC.What will say is that our TV has been used for gaming quite a bit recently and the screen is still good,at the moment.
If you wanted to use it for just gaming then it probably would be ok as long as you don’t intend to play the same game day in day out for hours on end with static logos/HUD’s.If you are likely to use it like i just described then I would say to go for a QLED or such like.
No problem mate, no need for an apology. You go out of ur way to release a shed load of awesome helpful content on ur channel and you engage with people so well.
I've put down an order from costco for a 55'' C9. Its going to be used a PC monitor for a month or two and i'll re assess the damage then. They have a respectable 90 day return policy so I'm quietly happy with that.
As much as I'd think about going QLED.. I play all my games in the dark at night... aka OLED time to shine.
Let me know what you think of the TV and how you get on with it over time.
Where from
Hi Paul
Do you have a link to your reviews, but particularly to your calibrated picture settings please. Just bought the 55 C9 and hoping to try and calibrate it tonight. Much appreciated? Carson
