Deal seen in Costco Derby, not sure if nationwide, but very good deal for an amazing TV! Can’t seem to find anywhere else at this price.

seems a lot for what is essentially the same as the £799 Toshiba one on this site, oled is oled unless there have been any huge improvements I don't know about?

I totally thought the same to be honest but if you can go somewhere and see the different OLEDs side by side there is actually huge difference between.

So yes they all use OLED panels but their software and processing power is totally different so this can vary the peak brightness, motion, upscaling capabilities and probably considerably more that I'm not aware of.

I personally love ambi light so went to see the Philip's version but the C8 was just a bit better so I took the LG. Had it 8 months and love it honestly wouldn't change it

picture processing and processing power of course matter to an extent but the base technology gives such an amazing quality foundation that there isn't going to be much of a difference between models

LG's whole lineup are the same picture quality (I own a C6 and saw the E from last year and one other) with a few minor differences from panel to panel with things like brightness. Bottom line is you're still getting that amazing black level and contrast whether you spend £799 or £1678

then enlighten me with a carefully constructed argument yep?
You don't need a carefully constructed argument, just use your eyes.
If you really can't see the difference between OLEDs then you are right, you should get a cheap one.
Personally I can, and I would be very surprised if most people can't

Maybe a trip to Specsavers is in order?
