Still good for those who missed out on the recent deals.

Seems awfully expensive for a 55" TV

What sets it apart from a much cheaper £400 4K 55" TV?

I'll wait until it's under £1,000

wheres this LG cashback offer then?

Without LG cashback Offer?

Hughes are NOT a participating retailer for the LG promotion, hence they are taking the discount off at purchase. You will not be able to get the £500 from LG for this.

Yes but as stated in the OP you could get a John Lewis price match who ARE a participating retailer.

The strategy is to get a price match with JL and then get the £500 cashback with LG.

I doubt John Lewis will price match as Hughes are already taking the cashback into account

How much was it

Spoke to John Lewis 3 times now, first said you cant claim from Lg as well, the 2nd said they cant price matchand the 3rd said they cant price match if a code is used grrrrr

Heat after reading the posts

Hughes have made it fairly obvious that the 500 off code is an alternative to make up for them not being included.
A John Lewis rep will clock that immediately. It's like Hughes agreeing to price match JL price after cash back and then saying you want to use their own code too on top.

Nah, that was the OLED55B7V or C7V which are sub 1500 everywhere.

OLED55E7N model TV is 2,500 in most shops. Different TV. Google for differences.

I'm waiting for the 55B7V to come down to £1100-ish

Yes correct. Sorry op. Been so tired of looking just see LG oled and think same. The numbers after oled have just merged in my brain. Shame they don't have simple names like LG oled basic, enthusiast and mug for spending this on a TV editions

Loving that they obviously made LCD look unrealistically rubbish in that pic!

You are right actually.
The E7N was 1500 and 2500 for 65 inch version about 4 days ago.

Sorry mate. Just get confused with the naming of them. I'm looking for LG oled for a£1k tomorrow. Would any of you risk buying from not richer sounds or John Lewis at that price? Don't know if I could risk that

Well yeah but it's kinda hard to compare the 2 on a non oled screen. It's like watching a '4k advert' on a 720p TV. Either way it answers the question. In this case there is also the built in Atmos soundbar - not that this model appealed to me, I went with the C7.

It was available for less than that actually. Bought mine for £1099, which was a combination of a price match of £1599, with the additional £500 to follow from LG through their cashback offer.

Which model was that diggler and where did you get it from?
(aware LG only allowing certain providers - John Lewis?)

Sounds like a storming deal

Some retailers were briefly offering the cashback off the retail price on condition you can't then claim it yourself.

A few (very few) managed to get John Lewis to price match this price.

You buyer could then claim the cashback from John Lewis.

Hardly anyone got it to work and it was an error on the part of John Lewis where they cottoned on within 6 hours.

Edit - was the e7v model ^

John Lewis price matched the LG OLED55E7N @ £1599 that WAS for sale using code BLACK400AND500 at Reliant Direct.

I also have an email from John Lewis stating

"Thank you for your email regarding claiming £500 cashback on the LG OLED55E7N OLED HDR 4K Ultra HD Smart TV.

I can confirm that if you are to complete a valid price match request for the TV that this will not affect the £500 cashback offer as this would still be valid to claim."

Go to a shop and see for yourself, the difference is remarkable. True blacks and absolutely stunning picture quality. I'm waiting until the 55" OLED sets come down to about £700 and then I'll get one, if that takes a couple of years or more then it will be worth the wait.

Reliant Direct are doing the same. £500 off when added to basket. John Lewis do price match Reliant Direct too.

Tried the Reliant direct offer with John Lewis but that got rejected too as it is showing limited availability!
I'm not having much look, both Hughes and Reliant Direct deals rejected!

Thank you for your price match request for the LG OLED55E7N OLED HDR 4K Ultra HD Smart TV.

I have looked into your request, and will be happy to match the price of £1999.00 for the LG OLED55E7N OLED HDR 4K Ultra HD Smart TV (product code
82455112) as seen at Hughes.

Looks like you can get it for the 1500 with LG cashback

They sort of have to because you’re likely looking at the comparison on an LCD panel.
