This is a stunning TV. Same picture quality as the B7 and C7 but it has the ‘built-in sound bar’. OK it’s not like a £600 high end sound bar but it is a noticeable improvement over its cheaper siblings. It also features ‘picture on glass’ design so the incredibly thin display is mounted on a sheet of glass.

The OLED picture quality is just breath-taking - watch Planet Earth II on Ultra HD and I promise you’ll be astonished by the quality, resolution, perfect black level, wide colour gamut and high dynamic range: the sun sparkling on the water, the fantastic contrast, deep blacks, and the way you can see every hair in the fur.

This is the 2017 model but the 2018 models offer few benefits and cost double.

Can’t believe it’s being voted cold!

Only reason not to buy it is if you already have a surround sound system (or sound bar) or are saving up for the bigger 65” or 77”.

What's the b7 vs c7??
I have voted hot on this. The integrated soundbar has excellent reviews. I guess the question is whether you think the improved design and soundbar is worth an extra £400 since the b7 can be had for £1200. Personally I would rather have this
Voted hot. Good price for a superb TV
Literally the best price around for this TV right now, of course if you have a time machine you can get it cheaper.

Can’t please everyone
I have this model, great TV! Only bad thing I can say about it is the lack of eARC, but that isn't on the 2018 models either.

£1100 for the E7?! When was this!
A few weeks ago Currys we’re selling them for £1799 and LG were offering £500 Cashback bringing it down to £1299. I got a ‘Last one discount’ and some additional Cashback so I paid around £1150. Others got similar deals.
It was a great deal but sold out within 4 hours.

In 2017 range the B7 and C7 are identical but for their frame and stand. The C7 has a black frame while the B7 has a thin silver line around the frame. I’d have preferred the black frame if It had been the same price but it’s not noticeable watching the telly - you’ll just be starring in awe at the stunning picture quality.
John Lewis Price Match seems extremely luck of the draw and I'm getting a bit fed up of it now. I've had my Price Match request rejected for this because PRC is an online-only business.

'If you find this item at a lower price from a high street competitor with a website, you can submit another price match claim'

The last time I tried to price match against Selfridges it felt like they sat on it for long enough that Selfridges went out of stock and they then magically sent the rejection email saying it wasn't in stock!

Never Knowingly Undersold my a**e
KG87 - I agree it’s sometimes a bit hit and miss. Try doing the price match in store though. It might still be a bit variable but you do get an instant decision and you can always try again at a different store or on a different day when the staff may be different.
Thanks for the advice. Before I read your comment, I re-submitted the request online just to see if it went to someone else who will actually honour it, as PRC do have a retail store, and low and behold this time it's been granted!
E7 over the b7?

Nah mine was back in November last year. JL priced matched other retailers who were including the cashback in their price but with JL you could claim on top of the price match. With cashback via Kidstart on top it worked out around £1100. Some even managed around the £1k mark and there were fantastic deals on the 65" as well. Some people were wary as they were worried the cashback wouldn't get paid but there turned out to be no issues. E7 is a higher model and generally well regarded with picture on glass and better sound. Only caveat would be that the sound bar isn't removable. I love it but some may not.

Kool I can get a brand new one but only 1 year warranty for £1350 would you say it's worth it over the b7? Also is the soundbar good? Thanks

I am very happy with mine and think so but haven't compared to B7 side by side so cant say for sure. Suggest you view in shop and decide.
Took the plunge on this today when I noticed they only have a couple left in stock. Really wanted the 65 but it's £1000 more and feel there's more peace of mind buying from JL than PRC Direct. Only 1 55 left in stock on JL and doubt they'll have more coming back in.

I got mine on Thursday... you’ll not regret it. 1 left in stock at JL and all appear to be either ex-display or open boxes at RS’s.
