I sent an e-mail to LG yesterday asking about the retailers taking part in the cashback and also the window for purchase dates. With them accepting claims from 16/12, I am assuming that if I buy one from JL today it will be eligible but I want to be sure. I will post the reply once I get it in case it is of use to others.

Didn’t think this was available until 16th of December???

No mention of this cashback on Curry's site. There's NO guarantee you'll get it honoured.

Cash back is never guaranteed other deals was better at the check out was £1500

It’s got nothing to do with Curry’s has it? You pay for the tv at full price, then claim the money back from LG?

I find it impossible to be ive Currys would not be part of the LG Cashback program.

Think the issue is that the terms and conditions of the LG cashback offer have not yet been published, including participating retailers.

Currys are not showing the cashback redemption offer on their site, whereas John Lewis is. If you are looking at this offer, would probably buy from John Lewis with a price match to Currys, as at least you can clearly see the £500 cashback offer on the JL site.

Possible £32.50 quidco (If you include today's £2.50 bonus).

To be honest it's a very grey area...am I right in saying that the cashback conditions state you have to pay "full price" to qualify for the cashback.

By getting JL to price match at £1999, this wouldn't be full price would it?

I cant say as the cashback terms have not been printed, just a web page!

But don't you pay full price to John Lewis initially and then claim the price match later? (they repay the money back to your account) therefore you have a receipt from JL showing you paid the full price?

Just been on phone to fenwicks in newcastle who were selling this for £1500 over the weekend. They got a call from LG yesterday telling them to pull the deal. And I see reliantdirect also cancelled similar deal.
Fenwicks have it at 1999 and LG seem ok with that. I would imagine that’d be ok with cashback claim??

All, please be very wary of claiming the cashback from LG. I managed to get JL to price match Crampton and Moore with a lot of persuading and managed to get the model for £1499 which the LG rep confirmed that the cashback opens from the 16th December. He did also say that JL is the ONLY participating retailer in the cashback scheme. He showed me the LG website and said it was authorised retailers who could participate in the cashback deal (see the link provided). I'm only going on what he said and my recommendation is to contact LG and get it written and signed if they say anyone else can provide the cashback.

SuperN1 so you're fairly confident that if you purchase from John Lewis you'll get the cashback? I've got JL to price match at £1699 which I'm happy with if I get the additional £500 cashback. I've spoke to JL via Live Chat and they say if they price match you should still get cashback.

To add to that I've actually ordered from JL (as I'm confident with JL you'll get the cashback) - just trying to get clarification over the next few days before the TV turns up on Friday, if I can't get the cashback I can always cancel my order.

£100.00 cashback via TC on tvs over £1000 aswell

Price has jumped up to £2,799.00 now

This is such a great deal, there are at least 5 stackable vouchers/methods that can be used to get this for way cheaper than £1499 with Currys.

Just a shame I bought the B7 earlier this year, otherwise i'd be all over this.
For anyone considering the B7 or the E7, get the E7, the built-in Atmos Soundbar will be well worth the extra

I'm more than confident for specific reasons. I have it in writing from JL so if LG don't fancy coughing up the £500, JL can do it for me as from a legal aspect, they are advertising it on their website and as far as my legal knowledge goes, if they are misadvertising, it's against the " consumer protection from unfair trading regulations " rule. It's also advertised on JL's website (worth taking a screenshot with a date and time stamp) which again can benefit. No T&C's in relation to it.

It is worth mentioning that LG France and LG Belgium are also offering cashback on the OLED TVs.
In France they are offering up to €500 on many models and max. €800 on the 55E7N only from retailers and websites advertising the offer.
In Belgium, it is up to €1000 from specific retailers listed in the T&Cs on the website. LG even offers the V30 smartphone when you buy the 65E7N and 55E7V.

My guess for the UK is that the cashback will depend on the stores/websites taking part ("the qualifying retailer" as LG states on their website). Perhaps the websites that offered cashbacks of £500 or 800 already know they will not fall under LG's promotion.

Yeah, all makes sense. Can I just ask whether your receipt shows full price i.e the £2799 or is it discounted? I've ordered online and the email confirms I paid full price, I'll claim the price match back once the TV arrives etc..

E.G
LG cashback (£500 cashback)
TCB/QUIDCO (TCB = TVs over £1000 get £100 cashback)
Bupa rewards (https://bupa3.xexec.com) for 7% off e-voucher (they also do Cashback at 1% if using vouchers with currys (TCB/QUIDCO cannot then be used))
if lucky you may be able to use TCB/QUIDCO when buying your Vouchers as well.
Sometimes website codes (think currys had TV100 last week, think this was £100 off)

Edit the above was to show stackable offers for Currys.

Hi, its shows it as £1499 as i paid the price matched price in store. It does say under the receipt, “price matched under price promise”

After 30mins of arguing with a CS manager, I got an email (separately) conforming a £1599 pricematch for reliant direct I sent in yesterday. I’ve already place an order for £2799 and it says to contact them afterwards to claim the difference. So I’ll definitely have a full price receipt for the cashback.
Isn’t that how all their price matches work - pay full price then claim the difference?

Cheers buddy. I've also looked at their (LG's) terms and conditions for the promotional offer which has put me on edge slightly. Basically in the 'participating retailers' list , it shows Currys who are eligillble for the £500 cashback for the 55" model. Whereas for John Lewis , it's showing up as £800 cashback for the 65" model... Does this mean I won't be eligible if I purchase the 55" model from JL? The promotional product for JL is OLED65E7V... anyone with feedback would be greatly appreciated .

I read it like that initially but I think you need to read it vertically, as if you read it the way you did Costco, Richer Sounds etc aren't not eligable for anything if that makes sense?

I've just had this reply from John Lewis:

"Thank you for your email regarding your LG cashback query.

After having reviewed this case I can advise that since the cash back is with LG and John Lewis don't have anything to do with it, the price match claims are not affected. Please fill in the price match claim form from the following link (johnlewis.com/nev…old). You will receive a response within 24 hours from the NKU proce match team.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,"

I have bought from JL as it is he only sure way that it is not part of their promotions. I was also told over the phone that during 28 days after my purchase I can resubmit another price match request if I find it cheaper and they will refund the difference again. That is an incredible service! I don't think this tv will be in stock at JL for long. £1100 after cashback - confirmed to every single enquiry to JL. No brainer if you can afford the initial £2800 🤔

Hello guys. I bought this deal yesterday after having JL pricematch Reliant and emailed LG for more information. Here is the reply I received along with a link to the full terms & conditions.

Not necessarily as I had direct price match from JL over their live chat.

I received the T&C's on an e-mai from LG just now as I wanted to see if JL were indeed giving £500 cashback on this TV. According to the T&C's they are not, as they are only doing it on the 65"

lg-offers.com/gb/…rms

It's a bit strange as JL are advertising the £500 cashback on their own website page. And even stranger that Currys don't have the cashback advertised on theirs, yet they are supposed to be the sole retailer doing it.

So, my feeling is that it would be down to JL to honour their mistake and give the £500 cashback themselves. But getting them to come down from £2799 to £1099 (price match and cashback discounts) may be a challenge.

So based on the way you're interpreting that page then why do they list Costsco, Richer Sounds etc.. ? What are they eligable for?
