I was looking at the B model OLED but managed to find the E model for a similar price after cashback.

A bit of work is required to get this TV at a great price but you'll need to be quick, this only works until the 30th January.

John Lewis will price match AV Experts who are are selling the LG OLED55E7N 55" 4K Ultra HD Smart TV for £2168.74. I submitted a request and got a price match within a few hours.

Once you get the price match, LG are offering £500 direct cashback on this TV model when you purchase through an authorised retailer (John Lewis is eligible). See link here: lg-offers.com/gb/…ome

Breakdown of cost
  • John Lewis price match @ £2168.74
  • LG cashback: £500
  • Total: £1668.74

If I had the money I'd definitely be buy this, unfortunately the house renovation comes first! Hope this of use to someone looking for this model, be quick!

You just need to purchase on or before 30th Jan, you then have up to 60 days after this to submit your cashback request.

Quote from t&c's:
"All claims must be made within 30-60 days of the purchase date, claims will not be valid if made within the first 29 days of the purchase date."

"All fully completed claim forms (together with proof of purchase) must be received by the Promoter between 30 and 60 days of the relevant purchase date. The date of purchase counts as day one (1). Claim forms received after this date will not be eligible. The final claim date for purchases made on 30 January 2018 is 30 March 2018."

However those who didn’t buy it back then probably don’t have access to a time machine. So although I bought mine during Black Friday this is also a hot deal. Heat added.

Not my fault people didn't buy it then seems expensive to buy at that price might as well wait for the E8 or something as CES 2018 passed

Have you got a time machine for people to go and get it at this price?! Otherwise it seems like a hot price.
Standard LG warranty. Will John Lewis price match without a 5 year warranty?

If you can get the cash back then its hot.
It is a pity AV Experts do not sell the 65 version at a good price to claim a price match with JL

John Lewis price matched with a 5 year warranty for £2168.74
Is it just the soundbar that's different about the E7 compared to the C/B7?

The 2018 models will launch at around £1k above where the 2017 models currently sit.
So yes, they could wait for an E8 - but if theya re debating spending this amount of money on it, they will certainly have to debate spending another £1k.

Voting cold because of old deals that are no longer available - HUKD at its best.
It might not deserve your vote, if you don't feel it is hot - but it cannot be cold when, as of right now, this is the bext deal for this item.
John Lewis refused to price match AV Experts as they are an online store only?!

Something time machine, but something something deal at this time.

Voted something hot.
Will these go to price minus cashback after the LG offer expires?

The build quality is different. Altho it’s the same screen E7 comes with screen on glass plus the soundbar which in my opinion looks awesome. If is the same price as C/B I’d definitely go for E7. I got E7 on Black Friday last year. Great TV.

Agree with you regarding voting cold. A bit like always voting cold on an xbox deal as it was once £45 at Tesco, or a PS4 Pro as it was once £229 at Currys.

Just tried with JL who gave the standard reply;

"AV Experts are an online only retailer who do not have a high street store, they therefore trade on a different basis to that of John Lewis."

Worth trying to get Richer Sounds to price match?

John Lewis price matched with a 5 year warranty for £2168.74

I submitted a Price Match for AV Experts but it got rejected for being an Online Only retailer.

You got lucky!

Try to go on online chat with JL. Will have to use laptop or PC they might straight price match it for you so you won’t have to wait for the money. Worth a try as it depends how lucky you get with JL agent.

Dear Mr HUKDEALS,

Thank you for your enquiry.

In order to apply a price reduction on a purchase, the criteria in our pricing policy must be met. I regret that after review the request you have submitted does not match all or parts of this policy.

The reason why we can not match on this occasion is because AV Experts are an online retailer only.

In order to match a price request, high street competitors trade on the same basis as us, with premises on a high street or comparable shopping destination freely open to the public in the UK mainland. They should carry a reasonable range of goods in stock for you to buy and take away, with clearly displayed prices. Their websites need to trade under the same brand and on the same basis as their high street shops.

Outlets which trade on a different basis to us, such as those that operate only on the internet or through mail-order, showrooms attached to internet-only companies, collection points, auction sites, factory outlets, membership clubs, duty-free shops, market stalls or home shopping channels, are not deemed equivalent high street competitors. We also don't match competitors who are in administration or closing down.

Therefore, on this occasion I regret that I cannot match the price offered by AV Experts. If you would like to view more information about Never Knowingly Undersold and our pricing you can do so on our website.
They price matched for me...

I always find the time machine comments a bit odd. Personally I find it very useful knowing if it has been lower as, if you are not in a rush, then generally speaking it will go back to that price. It's like camel camel camel when something goes up in price then down in a sale but is still more than the lowest. All useful to know. If someone wants it instantly then it is also good to know. Well worth commenting about older deals in my view and if that person believes it will drop in price soon then it is a cold deal in their eyes. The point of voting is surely to gauge average opinion as everyone thinks differently. The average will come good if the consensus is that it is hot.
I've tried live chat, calling and email to price match - all have declined stating AV Experts are an online retailer only.

Although op has been lucky - this deal should be expired as it's not available. Shame

I wouldn't say that's true. The kind of deals you see over the Black Friday and Christmas period are usually not regular throughout the year, especially with TVs like this which will soon be discontinued and replaced by more expensive new models. You may get lucky by holding out and getting one cheaper as stock is cleared, but it's equally likely that they'll just sell out and you'll be waiting for Black Friday this year for comparable prices to come around again on the 2018 models.
My price match as also been rejected on the basis that they are online only... I agree this deal should be expired.
Got the same knock back from John Lewis as A V Experts is online only.
Shame its not £1500 like it was in November

It was actually £999.99 as many got JL to price match and then got the LG £500 back by redemption

Got x2 in November for £1000 each after cashback
cold they are not price matching as av expert is online only

Starting to hate this website tbh
