LG have a new £500 cashback offer running on their E-series OLEDs:
lg-offers.com/gb/…ome

This brings the price down to £1,899.

Let the arguments about how this just equates to a very expensive soundbar begin ;P

I'm going to ask whether they will price match AV Experts or SmartTek to potentially bring the price down even more.

Awesome tv, bought one last year and have been very impressed. There is a strong argument for getting the b7 over this though if You have any sort of additional av equipment- the soundbar does the job if you don't but it will never really compare.

This was the reason I went for the b7 version... if you're planning to pair the tv with a speaker system, there's no point in paying the extra - I picked up the 65" for less than this (£2199) and very happy with it.
I also got one last year (£1499) it is indeed an awesome TV , I just use the Optical out to connect to my speaker system, I preferred this over the B7 for the twin satellite inputs on the E7.

I checked with John Lewis and they will Price Match with peter Tyson but I spotted this little clause in LG's T&Cs:

"This promotion cannot be redeemed alongside any other promotion and this includes retailer promotions and price matches."

Haha I reckon this is all to do with loads of us in here around Nov managing to get JL to price match competitors that auto took the £500/£800 off but then we managed to get the LG £500 on top. I got my E7 for £1500 in the end but I know some got the 55 e7 around the £1200 and the 65 around
£1800 I think.
