I really don’t think we’ll see a significant improvement in picture quality of these sets in the next decade. This is pretty much the ultimate in resolution, colour accuracy, perfect black level, brightness and contrast.

I stuck with my old Pioneer and Panasonic plasmas until now as the LED backlit LCD displays just never looked as good to me. The LG OLEDs are in a different league though.

Note only the LG models have HDR10, HLG and Dolby Atmos so they are pretty much future proof.

Wow good price
Starting to become tempting. Whilst I realise no-one has a crystal ball, are these likely to drop to £2k anytime soon? Havent bought a mid-high end TV in about 6 years! Wait, or get stuck in?

JL would match ?
It's far more likely they will just sell out before the 2018 models hit.

No JL won't match online only retailers

Richer Sounds are high street retailers.
Wait and £500 likely soon
I suspect they’ll all start coming down now the picture on glass models with the sound bar built in are out?

I have the C7..... worth every penny !!!!
I paid slightly more in a Black Friday sale and it is worth every penny. These models are stunning. Picture quality is identical in all the LG OLED TVs and is truly astonishing, especially when watching 4K UHD content (Planet Earth 2 etc). Web OS is great and easy to use. The built in NetFlix, Amazon and BBC iPlayer apps are all really slick and easy to use.

Don’t worry about the 2018 models. Picture quality is similar and they’ve just added better voice control (Alexa etc). Nice to have but not worth the extra £1500 that LG will want for the latest 2018 model.

It’s a gamble whether prices will fall further before they run out of stock.

Yeah but the original deal isn't at richersounds
You've got to remember that the 2018 models are going to launch at around £1k higher than these. If they are worth a grand more only you can decide, but that is the reason we probably won't see much more lower prices.

Kind of agree... but HFR playback is pretty damn nice. Although it is only on the built in apps/local playback, will wait until 2019 to upgrade my B6 I think!

Hopefully by then we can get 120hz via external sources... and some sources to actually support it.

They're the same age, this is just the model below. All 7 LG OLED models are from 2017.

I'd be personally more tempted by the Sony XE93, but then I don't tend to watch TV with the lights down low.

If the technology being demo'd at trade shows like the recent CES proves practical we're going to see substantial improvements in dynamic range

I think the next gen consoles will adopt hfr and that will be the main reason to want it as a feature.

Did they ask about the warranty? I phoned the shop and they could only do £2449. Will try telesales now.

I think the G7V is already cheaper then the G6 ever got last year so difficult to say
Hope it's worth my kids college fund
When you phone do you have to give full details e.g. URL etc, I've never used telesales with RS. Debating between this or the 55". Can a TV ever be too big? Ha. Cheers

I replaced my 65 inch Sony XE90 with 55 B7 and it looks like a baby.

Yes eventually you get used to it however the difference between 55 and 65 is not as small as it sounds so perhaps a good idea to check your viewing distance and room size etc to help you make a decision. After all it all depends what you like.
Yeah probably a good idea. Just now I currently have a 58" and even that was probably pushing it but it doesn't look too out of place with the VESA mounted TV stand.
Bought, thanks OP! Just an FYI, you can use Code SALE20 with SALE50 to get £70 off on Drake Displays. That's what I did and it brings the RS Price Beat down to £2209!
