Ive been hoping this goes down in price, but I think its a £100 cheaper than last week. Ive not posted cash back options, if cash back is possible then please let me know!

This was available in currys on BF for £2250 but because of their rubbish customer service I avoided, also John Lewis should price match this, however their customer service is also lacking. Because it is an OLED there is a chance of things going wrong with the screen, a RS's guarantee should be good news for people like me. Im so ready to pounce on this but will wait for comments from you guys

really? very optimistic but I like it! I hope you are right!
CES in January and some of the new toys for 2018 to be shown so time to get rid of the 2017 old stock, deals still to come
Bought my B6 earlier this year, and I doubt that it will get much lower in price than this. They will be selling their old stock off, so if you wait too long they will eventually run out of stock.

its a hell of a tv for the price, thoroughly recommend it

I would suggest waiting for CES, if the B8V supports major HDMI 2.1 features (e.g. variable refresh / 120Hz 4K) then the price on the 2017 models will tumble. 4:4:4 10bit, eARC and dynamic HDR are more likely features but they will still drive down prices on the existing models.
2019 will be the real game changer for HDMI 2.1, so in 2018 we will have all the manufacturers making minor changes only, and trying to convince the avarage joe they are full HDMI 2.1. Dont be fobbed off, its all about selling units in 2018. Not until mid-later 2018 will the true direction be decided by the manufacturers.

Dont go worrying about this HDMI 2.1 at the moment, if the tv is what you like at a good price you can afford then get it and enjoy.

thanks mate, I think I will wait a week or so to see if the prices fluctuate, I doubt there will be a price crash, just slight decrements over the months, seems like a good TV and will last me a while!

There will always be new features and functionality with each generation of TV set. If you decide then these features are important to you then you should wait.

if they’re not important, then why wouldn’t you buy a set now, and enjoy it? Otherwise won’t you always be waiting for next years tv? Also bear in mind that you’re considering buying this at a sales price. Would you be able to afford the 2018 equivalent when it’s released next year probably around £3k?
