Went into currys to get a 55" B7V, but saw this and thought it was an amazing price.
It is NOT on the website, but stores still have stock!
Item 164094

5 Year warranty.

Arguably the best 3D TV ever made.

I also used a 10% StudentBeans TV Discount, and used 8% discount Currys gift cards from my work, to make the TV £1664

You don't need to use the 3D and won't get anything close to this for under 2K.

Fantastic deal. Everyone deserves an OLED in their life!

Wow. Great price - especially with your discounts!
Bought this tv from Currys 6 months ago for £2500.

Shocked that you got such a bargain. Well done!

Don't regret buying back then though because it has been great.
Is this curved? It's a great deal but not sure how I feel about a curved TV. 🤔
New sealed boxed or ex display ?

It is curved, but it is very slight.

Brand new in box. They had 2 new, 1 on display, so other stores must still have them.
1 year warranty?

1 year warranty?

5 year warranty, plus they gave me 1 month free accidental warranty, which I cancelled straight away.
Great price. As you say, the best (or rather joint best) 3d TV money can buy, and will likely stay that way for the next few years.

Think it was same price here at Kingsway, derby. CBA to get out the car again and double check.
Ooo may have to pop in to my local tomorrow and have a look. Was thinking 55B7 when it drops but 65" with 3D for this price is insane!
I'm very interested in trying to find one of these, could you give me some info 10% StudentBeans TV Discount please?

Guessing you need to be a student.
What's the input lag like on these? Heard they're pretty bad for gaming...which would make a pointless purchase for me

34ms so not great unfortunately. My old Sony 46w905 has 8ms. I need all the help I can get on FPS / GTA lol.

My Sony KDLW653 has an input lag of 33ms and it copes perfectly well in games. I play a lot of Titanfall 2 and it doesn't seem to have hampered my performance!

This is a great deal for a gorgeous TV. If I could find one near me I'd struggle to resist getting out the credit card!

I'm part of my University Alumni and have a ac.uk email, you need a ac.uk email to register. It gets you 10% off any TV at currys. The store was in Poole, but this is likely to be nationwide in larger stores.
What does oled mean? My hubby was talking about getting a bigger TV today

It's the technology the display uses such as LCD - OLED is currently the best type of display (blacks are very black, TVs are very thin and use less power.).

For £2k you can't get better IMO.

Having said that I went for a Samsung QLED) a type of LCD) as they are brighter and cheaper (well it was when I got mine).

I think it's this TV if anyone wants a review (looks good) rtings.com/tv/…led
Random question for OP if you have a tape measure, what are the dimensions of the box please? Trying to see if it will fit in the car, I assume they will deliver though?

10% student discount on TVs? Are they not normally moaning about their huge amount of student debt?

Thought you had to verify the email and also the dates of uni course?
Yes but a lot of uni email accounts remain live after people graduate. The course dates u can put in whatever - I done it tonight and do it shows that my student beans account expires a year from today.
But what methdology of testing is the 34ms figure? your tv you qouted as having 8ms also has a 20ms input lag result.

How the TV displays images, what technology it uses to do that. For instance CRTs used an electron gun and phosphors that glowed when struck by electrons at the front glass. These days we basically only use LCDs which act like a stained glass window, you shine light through from the backside and the LCD panel blocks any light other than whatever you wanted displayed. LCDs are cheap and were pretty bad originally but we've fitted better backlights that produce more colours and now they're pretty good, except they can't display a true black (they don't perfectly block colours) and they can't be that vibrant if the backlight isn't producing strong light in a particular colour.

OLED is closer to old plasma technology where each pixel generates its own light meaning you can display an absolute black and colours can be extremely vibrant, all good stuff for picture quality. OLEDs are not cheap to produce but they're better than LCD.
