Love the price. Hate Currys. Pricematch it from Richer Sounds or John Lewis

I hope it will go down yet

Topcashback 15% cashback although richersounds price matched Costco at 1799.98 with a 20 quid inconvenience extra off the price. Extra year guarantee too.
Total: £1779.98
This isnt much more than the 55 C8 last year so good price

But Currys - couldn't log in or reset password today for some reason so phoned them. After being on hold the person said they would not / could not help and I had to create a new account

So suggest look around for another deal
The reflectiveness of the screens has put me right off Oleds. Looking at it in Currys I'm scared to pay all that money and take it home for the lights in the house to be constantly on the screen
Good price from a top retailer. Customer services are usually first class

Ooh, this is enough to put me off. I'm sticking to LCD for now.
I'm worried about burn in after reading some comments from owners

That's what has put me off to. From a frequent gamer I dont want the hud burnt in from games I play alot. I managed to not get any on my plasma back in the day but kids where young then and got cbbc and milkshake burnt into the corners instead
Wow @ 15% cashback. If (and it's a big IF knowing Currys) they pay up this brings effective cost down to 1614.15 which would be an amazing price for the 65 C9.

Tough call actually between RS Costco price match at guaranteed price of £1779 vs possible 1614.15 but only if cashback pays out + not having RS awesome service and 6 year guarantee...

The codes weren't working on the Currys site so. Bought for £1999 went on chat and the agent confirm they would refund me £100.

TCB tracked at 15% too so £1600 In total. Result.
Dont forget tcb is reflective from price ex vat. So possible £1660ish after CB. If collecting from store ensure they use your original order number. I have never had a collect item track due to them just putting a reservation through as a normal sale. TCB also states use of any code whether on currys website or not will invalidate a claim. Meaning unless you have gone through chat and had the 100 refunded without using the code you run the risk of CB not tracking past the lower rate.

Using a code will prevent you getting cashback.
Gr8 tvs. Reflection? No. Burn in? No. It's all about the settings.

I said I didn't use the code cause it wasn't working. I got refunded it after so I doubt they will put two and two together.

This my dilemma right now and a large part of the deciding factor. OLEDs are VERY reflective. I was in Richer Sounds looking at all the OLEDs and the reflection was significant, you could easily see the shop lights - thus home ceiling lights would be visible. I could clearly see my reflection on dark scenes. I pointed this out to the sales guys and he admitted OLEDs are quite reflective, hen then showed me the Samsung Q85r and demoed the anti-reflective filter - how it scatters the light - very much could not see my own reflection - quite a significant difference.
In my home we have a very large window to side and with our current plasma on bright days we close the blinds.
I don't like the very bright QLED - don't think it is good for the eyes esp. for young kids.

Also note, LG C9 watched a review - the plug cord is hardwired into the set - so can't be removed and is only 1 meter long - which is a bonkers design - they must know many people have sets wall mounted with plug cords already within the wall.

even among the OLEDs not sure which is the one to go for. They all seem pretty good.
Hate being so indecisive!
I do think the maximum using quidco is 140 quid, correct me if I am wrong

Edit - sorry I may be wrong, before I logged in it said upto 15%/ £70. Once logged in I couldn't see anything about the £70 though?

Can anyone confirm the cashback amount, ideally that's actually purchased?

It’s 10% now
I know, they really don't want my money!
Also on quidco cashback is still 14% but the maximum has been reduced to 84 quid.
I assume top cashback will still work if I use vouchers?
I get a 7% discount with my employer on evouchers, if that works on top of the cashback I'll buy this.

Does anyone know if the 50% sky discount would work in conjunction with the current Black Friday prices (50% off)
I am now out of contract with them and considering taking Sky Q with multi room and try to assess what value this part of the offer has.
