Brand new or ex display?
Ah man, I've been wanting me one of these for years but a 55" model. Think I need to pop to my local Costco and see if they have any good surprises in there.
Last oled with 3D as well I think
That's old one with 3d

It was the first one after they dropped 3D, amazing TV set though and this is a really good price, no big differences from the last few models after this really

Ahh! I’ve got the 55” E7, stunning TV! Would highly recommend OLED especially at this price!

It’s alright no worries I just remember when J bought mine people were disappointed about the loss of 3D as apparently only OLED showed off 3D at its best lol
Looks new and in stock in Birmingham(star city) as well. How do these compare to the b9/c9?

Best 3D picture I had seen in the E6 tbf, I moved house a few months after buying it and the living room was too big for a 55, so swapped to the 65e7 and lost 3D
i remember buying this for £4200 at costco lol took it back unde the 90 day rule for a refund and bought the 65c6 for £2100 and breathed cracking set though
if its brand new its a bargain absolute bargain
This is a terrible deal. OLED tech has come a long way since the 6 series. Brightness has been greatly improved as well as better burn in protection. Motion also is much much better plus webos has had some good upgrades. Get a B9/c9 55 inch for around this money.

This is not a good deal
This model is prone to screen burn, check AV Forums. The newer models have better built in compensation cycles and other features to help reduce the risk.
Would only use the E6 for movies and not much else. Last Oled with 3D and you don’t want any content that could cause screenburn.
I have the 55 e6v. If my room could take the 65, I would jump at this.... I don't get screen burn and the 3D is awesome. Why they dropped it I'll never understand. Can't have added that much to the cost to have it built in.
Had this, it broke, now got the E9. This Tv has significantly better sound than any of the precedimg models. The E9 has a slightly better picture, however its not enough to compensate for the poor sound
Don't think I'd chance it in case they go wrong. And besides that you may have problems playing Netflix/Prime etc. and updates and how it handles 4K content since the latest processor has updates for use with Dolby Vision/HDR and HDMI 2.0. Also near black performance and macro blocking remained a sticking point more apparent with this generation and not so good motion.
As for screen burn, well that's open for debate but LG are still recommending content changes in viewing and avoiding news feeds/morning shows etc. with ticker tapes running at the bottom of the screen and static images. Lengthy games marathons could lead to trouble.

Utter nonsense regarding Netflix/Prime, please ignore this clearly LCD/LED fanboy.

I have a 65" C6V and have no issues with DV or HDR content and my set is 2 models below the E6V. Can't find stock at Coventry otherwise would have got this deal. Great find OP, H+.

Couldn’t agree more such drivel it’s unreal

OLED tech has come a long way since the 6 series.

Has it though? Really?

My 55EG910V has been in regular use for 4 years, connected to a HTPC running JRiver. Thousands of hours of near static images (alongside movies), and virtually zero screen burn. Any ghost images that I do notice disappear in no time. Moaning about screen burn seems to be a perennial issue ref. OLED, whereby each 'gen' is expected to fix it. It's a non-problem, and it's never been a problem.

On my now-ancient set, movies are absolutely glorious - I haven't seen better with the 4k sets. Brightness is not - and has never been - a problem for OLED.

I wouldn't pay a premium for the latest gen model. This seems like a great deal for a 65" OLED.

the.porter, Ultra_Magnus; Utter drivel/nonsense? Hahah! Try using anything but the inbuilt aps for Netflix or Prime and you can't for 4k/HDR/DV because these sets lack HDMI 2.0 and so Apple+ etc. boxes requiring 2.0 are restricted to HD.
But at least everything else besides the above is fine with you two...I'm so relieved.
For the record, I own a C8 77" OLED. Jog on.

But it's not much of a premium to get a newer model. The price is not a lot more and you get a TV that is 3 years newer.

And yeah it really has gotten better. Brightness is brighter. This has been measured by stated by technical reviewers. This is a fact. I've had a b7 and now a C9 and noticed quite a bit of improvement in those two generations. ABL is also better for gaming along with refresh rates. The new series also support new hdmi spec. You also have a better webos that is at quicker and guaranteed to be updated for a little longer. Motion is also handled much better. In particular if you watch sport you will notice this.

Great you love your TV but when comparing this deal with current b9/c9 deals it is poor value for the customer.

PS. I don't subscribe to burn in paranoia but it can happen and in the past 3 yrs LG have updated the tech to help minimise the risk.
Newer sets may well offer better brightness. So what? It's still infinite contrast.

Ref. webos updates. Why should it matter? A TV is a video monitor - not a gigantic smartphone.

Maybe motion is better with newer sets? Can't say I've noticed any shortfall.

Don't get me wrong, I'll probably buy a newer OLED soon to replace this one fairly soon. But I won't be expecting much of an improvement.

This deal represents a c. £500 saving. Probably worthwhile.

My C6 works with hdr 4k etc, never use the In built apps. Always use my nvidia shield.

Brighter and punchier HDR with higher peeks of brightness. Also day to day brightness is better for those watching TV in a sunnier room during the day. As mentioned ABL algorithms is much much better especially noticed if you are a gamer.

Why does webos improvement matter? It's a better user interface for some people which they may appreciate. It also will guarantee longer support for Apps. Apple TV app and Disney Plus are coming to the new models as wel which may be important to some people.

Yes motion is better. It's not about noticing shortfall as much but it is better and been tested to show this. Again it may not be important to you but to aome, especially sports people it is important.

Question. Why would you upgrade to something that doesn't offer much of an improvement over what you currently have?
Newer model but 33% more expensive. Everyone has a price point so it's a personal choice.

I watched the Irishman on my c6 Dolby vision Netflix and it was simply stunning, I have also used an atv 4K box and again 4k beauty Me personally I have no need for separate boxes

I went for a jog and I'm back. Apple+? Nowhere near enough AAA content - thanks, I'll give it a miss.

Plus, if I change my VPN over to USA on my Fire TV (Netflix 4K HDR) I get USA Netflix content so I'm very happy thanks.

So you got a 77" OLED? So you got screwed over more than me and the.porter? Sounds like someone else needs to go for a jog too after spending all that cash...

I would flog on my C6V and get a cost saving on the E6V + a new 5 year warranty.
