LG G2 Warranty: lg.com/uk/tvs-soundbars/oled/warranty/

Really tempting, with an extra 10% cashback on complete savings this comes down to £903.

My minds set on a Samsung as I love the idea of a Onebox but this is a really good price.

This fits snuggly again the wall with the supplied wall mount...what's the advantage of the one connect box in this case?

One connect previously put me off due to issues
..but they may be sorted now

Is the G3 or G4 worth the extra money over this?
I can get the 65” G3 for £1900 or the G4 for £2200 atm. I am buying a new TV this week

Personally, I'd save the money and get the G2... A very capable TV.

The G3 and G4 will go brighter owing to Micro Lens Array (MLA) panels, but I don't think that would warrant double the cost. I don't think there is much in way of meaningful updates with either of these over the G2.

Re: the warranty, LG provide a full comprehensive 5 years via Direct and General which is inclusive of labour costs, inclusive of repair costs etc. So if your TV has any problems within 5 years they will fix it for free or replace it for free (and if your model isn't available anymore, you'll get the latest year of your model for free).

The 4 year extended warranty (after the initial 1 year manufacturer warranty) only allows for 1 claim in that period, so not as an extensive warranty as people think lg.com/uk/…ty/

    6. Only 1 claim per participating unit purchased during the Promotion Period

i bought this tv 2 months ago and it had in the first week the heatsink making some kettle like noises...I'm still waiting for LG and marks electrical to send an engineer. Should have just returned it really.
Otherwise though, brilliant picture - just annoying when playing games like sekiro or when watching anime the heatsink will make a noise from time to time.
    InfoAddict's avatar
Really curious about this noise, do you have any examples?

Had the choice to get either the G3 or Samsung S95C. I went with the Samsung since the LG panel gets quite hot after extensive usage. The Samsung stays cool throughout the usage.
