LIGHT UP YOUR WORLD with SELF-LIT PiXELS

LG OLED is the pinnacle of TV experience. Self-lit pixels allow truly spectacular picture quality and a whole host of design possibilities, while the latest cutting-edge technologies help deliver unprecedented levels of wonder. This is everything you love about TV — elevated in every way.

What makes OLED unlike anything else?

The answer is self-lit pixels. A self-luminous display technology that gives you the ultimate viewing experience. Unlike LED TVs that are restricted by backlight technology, LG OLED TVs are capable of extreme realism and unique designs.

SELF-LIT PiXELS. 100 million reasons to love OLED.

When it comes to picture quality, OLED beats LED hands down. That's because OLED has millions of self-lit pixels allowing for infinite contrast, 100% colour fidelity and the sharpest pixel-perfect details. The result is a viewing experience like no other.

Pause Video. Infinite Contrast OLED puts LED in the shade.

Put simply, OLED has millions of self-lit pixels that can turn on and off to achieve perfect black and infinite contrast. That black is better than both mini-LED and LED TVs. So it doesn't matter how many thousands of backlights they have, LED TVs will still be in OLED's shadow.

I have heard the motion judder on these is horrible.

I just leave the smoothing on natural and it seems fine to me. I prefer it on a little, than not at all or on the very smooth setting.

Part of the reason we get judder is because the near instant colour change of pixels on oled, vs. older tech where it takes longer so blurs it. You don't get the blur on oled so 24fps content displays exactly how it should, which is a little stuttering due to the low frame rate. Blur on the older tech was hiding that issue but for some, it's painfully obvious with oled.

Before buying, pop into a local store like richer sounds and they will let you try it out with a film with different settings so you can see if you are happy. (edited)

A bigger screen only accentuates the oled judder

Yes they do probably currys too

Curry’s said no due to the terms and conditions being different! They say returns are not free with Richer sounds which differed from Curry’s terms.

Honestly not much between the models nowadays. The C1 is a little brighter but you'll probably not notice, you really need a G2 to see a difference. The B2 is probably lighter in weight as they moved to a new material, but that probably isn't a concern for most people, since you still need 2 people to lift a 65" TV.

The C range usually gets more software updates. So personally I would get the C1 over the B2.

C range also has 4 hdmi 2.1 ports, which only matters of you have multiple current Gen games consoles or PC's plugged in running at over 4k 60fps, which is a niche market. There are AVRs with multiple ports so you can work around that issue anyway (edited)

I suppose it doesn't happen so much on gaming but I will be 90% watching and 10% gaming.I looked at the demo vid in Currys and the sport elements looked horrible, I was a bit shocked ?

Currys is pretty bad place to test TVs, the lighting is horrible and the TV settings are all arranged to nudge you to certain purchases. I've had a much better experience at richer sounds. The lighting was more natural and you could change the settings and watch your own content. I spent 2 hours watching q90r and c9 side by side, both were excellent but I stuck with the oled.

The motion isn't great on films out the box, but it is technically correct. As such, with a couple of tweaks to settings, to me it looks perfect without the soap opera affect.

Fab price. As per your description , mention the Costco offer to get it lower.

Or use topcashback and get 1.1% (£24.05) to score a smaller saving

I’ve just had Richer Sounds price match Costco and beat it by £20. You’ll need a Costco account, but even factoring in £15 for that you are still a fiver better off and have a years Costco membership. (edited)

Never heard of this problem? Can’t be that bad as can’t say I’ve ever noticed anything?
I’ve owned this TV for approx 5-6 weeks, Xbox series x and nvidia shield and so on all hooked up and personally I find this screen nothing short of amazing!

    Cracking price too! (edited)

From reading other comments, they will match voucher codes if listed on the product page, but they won't match VIP prices that involve you logging in.
