Damn it I want this for my new house which I still not got the keys to.... how can I buy and store this!!!

I bought one from LG and didn't use straight away, as I was waiting till I'd painted before hanging it. Opened it after about 5 weeks and turned it on. TV went off and wouldn't come back on. It needed a new panel. LG would not give me a new TV as I'd had it for more than 30 days. Still repaired under warranty though, I wish I'd switched it on as soon as I'd purchased it. Just for advice, if you are going to store it, give it a full test first.

Well mine came yesterday, got it up on the wall today, looks great, very bright and a nice upgrade from the 65CX.

Interestingly and surprisingly manufacture date is May 24.

When you go yo order it it order fails gives error and removes the 5% Welcome Coupon tried 3 accounts , how do it so all 3 vouchers work ?
    steveex's avatar
Took me a minute to figure it out.
    >Sign up for LG friends.
    >Confirm email.
    >When signed in, add TV to basket.
    >The two vouchers, LG Friends and Football 10% are avaaible to select, which brings the price to £16xx.
    >At the bottom of the page there is a refer a friend link, click through.
    >Add another email address you have access to and send
    >Access that email, click through the link and confirm that email address.
    >This will generate a 10% code that for whatever reason you can copy, then go back to your order and add that code to the field directly adjacent to available codes tab.
    >When added, the third refer a friend code is available to select.
Definitely works. Have ordered and had order confirmed as per OP price.

Checking the 5 year warranty details the following should be noted:

"In the 1st year of the warranty, panel, parts, and labor costs are covered. In the 2nd - 5th year of the warranty, only panels are covered, and labor will be charged."

This does not appear to be a full 5 year warranty, still better than nothing but thought it best to let people know. Still a blinding deal in my opinion and I am very tempted.
    Tarlok_Kharpal's avatar
That's the LG G series warranty, the D &G warranty is separate to this and labour is covered under that one.

If you follow the link on the website when you add to basket it's shows the free 5 year warranty and you can see the terms if you click in the link. (edited)

    This or a samsung 77 s90c for £1650?
    Crossbow's avatar
S90C mostly has better colour volume+gamut & brightness, but it's too close to call otherwise rtings.com/tv/….10
After studying the comparison closely, is the Samsung worth £180 more to you & does it also come with a comparable 5-year warranty?

Also see this video comparison with the G2 & S95B (also QD-OLED), which is slightly inferior to the S90C rtings.com/tv/…382
If you do enough searches, you may chance upon a G2 vs S90C comparison.

Not working for me. Generated a referral code but trying to apply it won't work.

"XXXXXXXXX is a code that is not available on the product or is not valid."
    DribbleHead's avatar
Just managed to get it to work, I tried using it off the account that I used to refer and the code worked, maybe this will help!
  10. kingsofadam's avatar
Can you also use standard vesa wall mount? Or do you have to use the built in one?
    CraigFerguson's avatar
I have recently put a 55" G2 on a wall with a different wall mount. The one LG provide allows the TV to sit almost entirely flush with the wall, but doesn't allow a space for e.g . a wall socket or anything else that might protrude slightly.

This is an absolute steal. Also, I do not need it. Also, it does not fit. Also, I want it. Also, I could make it fit.

    Damn HUKD!
  15. Darthballs's avatar
very nice, i was tempted with this but sales rep at richer sounds said the c3 is a better buy so went with that
    AJ10's avatar
    Author
Not trying to ruin your purchase but:

Better is subjective especially when pricing is involved.

    C3 & G2 are very similar.

C3 has DTS audio support straight from the TV & slightly better Lower res upscaling.

But G2 has a heatsink and goes slightly brighter than the C3.

A Sales rep main intention is for a sale, so I wouldn’t solely take their advice alone. Looking up or watching reviews and unbiased info from others is a much better way. (edited)

Managed to order the 77 in 2 days ago for £1469 🏽
  17. Snyper83's avatar
Wow, I got the G3 77 for 2499 a couple months ago and thought it was a bargain. This is an epic price - granted 1 gen older but that’s quite a saving. Hope this helps a few out. As for whether to get a G series - yes, it’s a huge upgrade over most TVs, albeit picture not quite as the Sony but they never seem to get discounted
    warriorscot's avatar
In this case the generation is quite a big difference for the G series from 2 to 3.

Thanks bought one after thinking back forth. I think probably won't get decent oled 77 inch for that low. Also was able to use work cashback app for another 4% off cherry on top. (edited)
