I posted this product a couple of months ago but it seems the price has dropped again for Black Friday. Next best price is £257 on Amazon that I can find. Sound on this is incredible and at under £200 it's a bargain. I paid a lot more!

Do you have to manually switch to a Chromecast input or does it play automatically when pressing play?

You need the Google Home app.

It's easier if just trying to play music from your phone to connect via Bluetooth.

We have this and we are really pleased with it, particularly when paired with the LG TV. The only downside is that the curved stand on the (not-curved) TV means that the soundbar has to sit slightly forwards rather than flush.

Cheers, I am more thinking about the use with Google Home. If I ask for something to be played, does it need it's input switching?

No, just specify to play it via whatever name you give it in the app.

Quite pleased with mine though it occasionally has pairing issues over HDMI ARC.
Had a power cut earlier this week and can't reconnect to my LG B6V, it's infuriating.

I have mine set as the default speaker for my music playback on Google home so whenever I ask it to play something it automatically plays it though the soundbar no input change needed.

I actually find it easier just casting. Never even need to open the Google home app.

Am I hard of seeing? It looks straight in the pics to me? Maybe yours is a different model

Have one of these too, the LG TVs have a curved stand despite the TV being flat, so when paired with this bar and on a unit, the bar site forward of the TV, an aesthetic annoyance if you suffer from OCD (like me). Brilliant soundbar though, I'm very happy with it!

His TV although a flat panel has a stand with a slight curve so this soundbar can't sit back flush under his TV...

Riiiiight, the idea of a curved stand on a flat tv is so rediculous that it didn’t register with me and I misunderstood. Glad the LG 800v I ordered yesterday just had neat feet and no curved stand nonsense. I’ll probably wall mount it all anyway tbh

The silly thing is with the curved stand is that the curved sound bars don't match the curve anyway, so you can't get one to match. If LG had thought about it they would have made a curved sound bar that replaces the curved stand for those that don't want to wall-mount. But LG gonna LG.

Does anyone know if this outputs high-resolution audio? Tempted to get this but it's designed more for 48-49'' TVs, so if you go larger it's slightly too narrow.

Great price and great spot, I have just ordered this from BT and would you believe I have had this in my wishlist on Amazon for a while and when I went to delete it from my wishlist Amazon have now dropped their price to the same as this deal.

I had the same issue when I first paired it to my Hisense. After serval restarting, unplugging and plugging in cycles it finally did the handshake and worked flawlessly for 4 months until I had to disconnect the hdmi cable. Now whenever I turn on TV there is a Big Bang sound before audio is connected to Soundbar via HDMI arc. 🙄

This or the new sky soundbar for £249?

is this thing any good with alexa? Got this soundbar for my da but I don't know if it'll work with alexa and i don't want to have to pay twice the price just for google home so that the fecker will work

Perfect with Alexa, never failed me and had mine a good few months.
They were giving these away with certain oled tv's so got mine off someone for £100 who bought the tv but didn't want the sound bar.
Have mine wall mounted above my LG TV and never had any issues, whether it be with sky, bluray, or echo dot.

Yep, no problem and the sound is soooo much better, just pair via bluetooth once, and next time you want to play music just ask Alexa to connect soundbar first.
