Seems to be a great price, with most other retailers selling this for over £400!

  • Ideal for TVs up to 65 inches
  • 320 Watts of audio power
  • 4K Pass-Through - prevents picture quality loss
  • Divides in two for different arrangements that suit you
  • Wireless subwoofer for booming bass

This incredible soundbar by LG is designed for TVs up to 65 inches. It delivers a powerful 320 Watts of audio power, meaning you’ll be moved by the soaring high notes and punchy bass of your favourite movies. This soundbar has intelligent 4K pass-through technology, which means if you’re using a HDMI cable to connect to your TV, you won’t experience any loss in visual quality, so those action scenes will still look vivid and detailed. What makes this soundbar really special is the flexible design. It breaks in two, so you can use it in any way you want – why not place one half behind the sofa to hear those footsteps creeping up? It also has a wireless subwoofer to really pump up the bass tones of everything from sci-fi series to your favourite songs.

Could be worse. I bought the sj5 for 249 from currys and can't be bothered to return it. Wanted the sj7 but they didn't have any on stock and they came out with the sj5 at closing time so I just took it. Got 30 days to return it but it dont sound too bad... What do you have now?

So in last 2 months I sent the SJ7 back and got a SH5 which was good but sold it and bought the SJ8 also very good but currently selling that as I have my eye on the SJ9 or the Yamaha YSP2700

think I'll keep my sj5 and just buy something better in time. Weird how there isn't that much to choose from
Also £299 at amazon now if that helps

By the sounds of things the Amazon 30day-try-before-you-buy-scheme is very much needed when looking for a sound bar.

I bought the YSP2700 and it is excellent after you get used to it and take the time to set it correctly. If you dont have the sub on the sound is terrible, even just the likes of the news or chat shows. Also if you have loads of furniture for the sound to bounce off or a non square shaped room the intellibeam microphone sets some weird distances, and it takes some tinkering to correct this and make it sound better. Due to the shape of my room (its rectangular) and the furniture thats dotted around (2 couches and a sideboard really) it auto sets the speakers to 5.1 and I need to manually over ride to get the 7.1 but when I do the sound is weird. Have just left it 5.1
totally off topic, i remember having a yamaha soundcard on a pc in the 2000s, it had a really cool 3d effect to the sound out of the stereo speakers, literally like 2 sound beams pointing directly outwards from the speakers, the strangest thing! it was a really cool effect and worked to give a wide stereo stage, depending how you angled the speakers!

based on that alone i would love to afford the YSP2700! if only i had a perfectly shaped room for it!
