This is decent but still not an amazing deal. Was hoping to get a washing machine and tumble dryer today but the deals have been few and far between!

My LG washer Dryer has been going strong for 7ish years. Double the time any of the other brands have lasted.

LG washers are one of the best and most reliable out there - only behind Miele which would cost 3x the price for the same capacity.

I was basing it on my experience of repairing their tellies but ok i have no experience fixing their washer dryers so thats interesting and looks like I might go for it then and see what happens.

Thanks really useful comment and not true!
Another one of the 90% of sheep that the ill educated and great unwashed who sees one article and then brands an entire product line as sh*** - you make a statement where is the evidence?
I repair electronics of all kinds so I think I have more of a leg to stand on than your basing this on one bad Indesit washing machine model on WATCHDOG lol

Let me elucidate for you and maybe you might learn not to talk pony and trap - Its how you look after any device that makes it last!
And trendy appliances are often the least reliable.
TROLL MUCH!

Whirlpool who own Hotpoint and indesit not only make appliances that are considerably less energy efficient than the competition (Water & electricity on Hotpoint and Indesit washers is atrocious) they are also unsafe.

There whole business model is designed to prey on the duress of their customers. Products regularly fail just after the 12 month warranty window and then customers are duped by the 10 year parts guarantee but no mention of the £100+ engineer call out fee.

I disagree.

Where do you get your assertion they are unsafe?
I take it you are using the Grenfell Hotpoint fridge freezer incident as the basis for this - i can tell you that most fridge freezers without a metal back are ten a pennymost of them have the same foam insulation and plastic backer board design and its the compressor that causes the fire usually because they have been installed in the wrong location and without proper ventilation!

As a repair guy i find its usually user error, laziness and treating appliances badly that causes most failures.
Ie
slamming the microwave door kills the latch mechanism
overloading washing machine causes the door mechanism to fail
putting too much powder in causes the pipes to clog up and the impeller to fail
not checking the maintenance hole on a washing machine once a month jams the impeller with kirby grips and other stuff you should have check in the pockets of your clothes before you put them in the machine causing it to burn out
led telly - leaving the backlight on 100% and on 8hrs+ a day blows one 25p led taking the whole telly out
and more...

We will have to agree to disagree in a polite manner of course!

No worries.

Been researching for a new machine and found the table useful (although I take Which? with a pinch of salt) and thought I'd share.

I was deciding between a Samsung and an LG but Beko stood out in that list in terms of reliability-for-money.
Looks a great deal, with the warranty, LG, 10kg drum - seems exceptional for this price bracket. Will order.
Not able to order this online anymore, something about long manufacturer delays
