How is the contrast ratio? I hear it's lower than a typical IPS panel. For me, this would be a factor to consider before purchasing.

It is slightly lower but not in a way I think people would generally notice if gaming (main purpose of many of the features of this are geared towards gaming use).
Good monitor I have the other version which is excacly the same from the tests but without USB points on the back. Great for gaming

For me it was reason I returned it, it looked noticeably worse than my old IPS Dell U2414H. As well IPS glow was worse than on Dell but that will be different on each sample.
But if you are looking for fast IPS there is nothing better on the market, closest are FI27Q and VG27AQ but still not as fast. It is very good monitor, all depends where your priorities are.

I currently have a TN panel that has very good contrast. I would definitely notice the difference in contrast, and I know that would annoy me. The LG is a highly rated monitor, and if IPS is your panel of choice for gaming, then as you say, there is nothing better at this price point.

Maybe contrast is not as good as others but I can notice the colour on this LG is much better than my old TN.
This is back in stock but is back up to £450. Gutted as I've been waiting for it ever since I missed it at £400 but I bought it anyway since nowhere has it in stock.
