I don't think there are any touch screen monitors that are IPS at this price

It's all relative really. It's the cheapest I can find this particular model, and 3xcamels suggests it's usually £260 odd.
Or if you want to move away from Amazon even cheaper

I'm not really trying but given 20min I probably be able to find one round £100

What's the point of commenting that there are cheaper alternatives? There are cheaper types of everything, but they vary quality and features. I paid twice as much for a beautiful monitor with punchy colours, great contrast and great response time I can get lost in. If you dont care about that and you want it just to display something, sure go with a 100 £ screen.
(1) Ultrawide master-race. Always. I'll *NEVER* go back to standard wide.

(2) This price is okay for a 29" 2560x1080 ultrawide. They're regularly on sale for less (£160-180 is a GOOD price), and unless you need a specific feature which one of the models has, then they're all largely the same and use the same basic LG panel (except for the high-refresh ones).

If it's IPS, it's 29", it's 2560x1080p, it has Freesync and it does 75hz ... it's probably the same panel underneath. They're great entry-level ultrawides, with pretty decent quality IPS panels and good colour accuracy for the price.

(3) *NEVER* get the 25" model - they're too short. The standard height equivalent is approx: 25" ultrawide = 19" regular ... 29" ultrawide = 23" regular ... 34" ultrawide = 27" regular.

(3) I have a 38inch Acer XR382CQK - cost me £640 down from like £1200. What is cheap and/or expensive is relative.
I got my son one of these last Xmas, great monitor for the money. I had to watch a few videos reviews to get some idea of the scale, then it seemed bigger in person anyway, he loves it and I'm jealous.
What's the refresh rate on this? I really wish manufacturers and retailers would start listing it as part of the title since it's such an important spec.

IUts 75hz. I agree, but I suspect the ones that aren't high refresh rate don't state it as 60/75hz looks awful on the title.
I have the same monitor only 3-4 years old, they were 60Hz setup but I use it overclocked with Nvidia to 75Hz rock sold. Great monitor plays YT perfectly..
got the 34 inch version and love it
What I will say though is the 34 inch screen is the same height as a 27 inch monitor so I personally would not want to go smaller than 34 inch
