Xbox is a 4k player and serves more purpose
The playback quality of this is better than an xbox and I think the dolby vision firmware is now working on it. Xbox doesn't have this

There are sadly quite a few issues with some discs on the one
Firmware has added Dolby vision and sorted loud disc noise on certain 4k UHD discs. Excellent for the price

At least get the information correct for the uninformed.
Xbox one is not a 4K player. Xbox one S and X are.
Yeah, I have an Xbox One X for UHD disc duties, but thought this was a decent price for what it is. Might be of use for someone who doesn't want to spend £350 on an Xbox.
If only the 4k Blu-ray's wasn't being priced out of existence 😵 heat!

True, sorry i missed saying s, sorry little mrs perfect
4k streaming saves you paying 100 pounds for this, and don't have to have physical products lying around, getting scratched. Just can't see much of a future in Blu-ray. Every format is eventually superseded.

I agree, but not an option for everyone yet unfortunately. £100 wouldn't go far in paying for the the Internet speeds you require to stream 4k. 60mps minimum apparently for the World Cup 4k stream from the BBC.

I have streamed it in UHD with less than the recommended 60mps and it has been fine.
Probably the worst supported UHD player on the market by the manufacturer , too many issues avoid at any price..

Dont know how on earth you store your discs but I have a thousand and have an invention called amaray cases round them
The day a download has the pjcture quality, full bandwith sound quality and ability to put it in the player and press play instead of trying to watch a download on the archaic Internet we have ill stop buying discs.
Could anyone please comment on the pro's and con's of this player, preferably from experience.

I am not interested in the merits of digital download / streaming against physical media, not am I looking for information about the Xbox One with or without an S or an X. Can we stick to what the thread is aimed at please?

I only have 22mbs and have been streaming it OK too, but how do you know what resolution you are getting? The info I saw said you would only get full resolution if your connection was fast enough.
