So tempted as I need a replacement for my current phone but I'll probably wait for the HTC U11+ to get to this price.
Mainly due to the 3950mAH battery and Android Oreo out of the box. Plus, I hear the DAC on that is not too bad either.

I can certainly state that the DAC is great on this phone, DAC not so important in the U11+ as it has no 3.5 mm headphone socket so you'll be going through an adapter anyways if you're not using bluetooth.
Isn't eGlobal the place everyone has horror stories from? I know they have UK flag on their website but don't these come from Hong Kong and many people get stung with vat and import duties? I may be wrong but sure this rings a bell.

Congratulations you win the prize! Yes eGlobal is HK based, yes you wont get LG UK honoring the warranty on this, no many people don't get stung by customs & VAT, only if you get it delivered by express/DHL, no lots of people do not have horror stories, only a few, same with any shop. Yes you will get a phone you currently can not purchase in the UK for a cheaper price then the lesser model on sale here. At the end of the day it's the potential buyers money and they must make the choice as to whether it's worth the risk.

U11+ not too much more... Eglobal note 8 also quite cheap on that site but will it be a UK device?

Unlikely, most probably the Asian or Korean model.

Bought 3 phones from them with no issues, no VAT / duty to pay delivery takes a week or so as they bulk ship items to Manchester from HK and then ship from Manchester to you.

I was in HK last week and ECG were cheaper for everything I checked than the local shops, even airport duty free. The only exception was Apple products where they were about the same as the HK Apple store.
Worth a quick read uk.trustpilot.com/rev….uk
I don't think you would get any warranty with grey imports, not from the manufacturer anyway.

No you definitely won't with LG, but the point is that it is up to the buyer to make that decision. For some it's worth the cost saving & to get a model not available here and if you purchase on a credit card there is some redress there if the vendor can't/won't sort it out. For others it's definitely not worth the risk and therefore they should ignore this & other deals like it.

Agreed, but all Apple products, with the exception of iphones, have global warranties.
Has anyone found a good screen protector for the LG V30
