LG firmware updates are dire while their cameras are top notch

I have this phone, got Oreo update just last month. I doubt there will be any other notable updates to follow...
Great to see a flagship with a headphone jack and 128GB is very generous. Tempted to upgrade from G6...
I got the V20 and it is truly the best phone I have ever owned. Oreo is rolled out these days for my V20 and my phone is from 2016, so I don't think that Oreo would be the last update for V30+. Voted hot and I hope I'll resist.

Any promo code lying around for eglobal?

Normally on first purchases of £5.99, but I don't think you can use it on an already discounted handset.
I had lg g4 and android 6 was the last update....
Just one year after releasing lg didn't bother about their flagship.
Those who received oreo on this, beware could.be ur last update.
2.1% available on TCB
Has bootlooop issues
This or the OP 6 or the Huawei P20 Pro? Or more for s9?
Great price, bad seller. Personally I'd avoid this one. As for what phones better as asked above honestly I'd go for the P20 Pro, and I've owned LG phones since 2015.

Or the Note 8 or XZ2??
After trying to buy a "refurbed" V20 I'd be wary to buy an LG handset with little or no warranty. I think when their phones are up and running, they're great, but there's been way, way too many widespread issues with various handsets. Obviously the infamous bootloop issues on a few (but Samsung's Note 4's were riddled with a similar mobo failure) models, but when I looked into teh V20 there were plenty of regular problems.
Not intending on scaremongering as I'm still on the lookout for another V20, but I'm going to try and buy it direct from a private seller on ebay as opposed to one of these chancers knocking out phones that they've bought that have obviously been returned to their supplier with faults that may or may not have been fixed. For anyone interested, I'd say to avoid a seller by the name of bilalmalang as he sent out 2 faulty units and now, 2 weeks later I'm having to find an alternative.
I have a good set of in ear earphones. How much difference does the quad DAC make to music compared to the S8 or another decent phone without a DAC?
That's great price for great phone (unfortunately underrated phone).... Voted hot🔥🔥🔥
The total lack of android software updates at all from launch (other than a few security patches) for my LG v20 seriously puts me off buying another LG phone. I love the phone but by this point android 8 still being promised with no date is pathetic. So i think its fair to say the chances of it ever getting android 9 are non existent.
Lgg2 purchased in 2014 from deal posted here, vodaphone shop.

Never had the promised Lollipop update still on kitkat. So be aware of this, don't expect updates from LG.
BEWARE THE SCREEN WILL BE GRAINY.

Unless you don't care how your phone looks stay well clear of this.

If you got it from Vodafone then it won't be factory unlocked, even if LG did a firmware update you wouldn't automatically get it, you would have to wait for Vodafone to rewrite it and then push it out, so that they have their Vodafone crapware on it.
I bought this from this company from the last deal mrswitch posted. Arrived in under a week. As expected is the Hong Kong version. The manufacture date was Jan 2018. Comes with a plug adaptor that I wouldn't trust, but I already have a QC usb charger, so not an issue for me. Screenwise I'd agree there's a small degree of graininess, and there's also the blue shift if you look at the screen off axis. Not noticed any other issues with the screen and not bad enough for me to worry. I'm an eye surgeon, so optical/visual performance is important to me Quad DAC is great with my Sony MDR-1 headphones. I'm using a rootless pixel launcher which is much better than stock. Not used the camera much, but those photos I have taken have been good with sideloaded gcam. I do like the wide angle lens too. No evidence of Oreo yet for me though...

In that case Vodafone is crap, anyway I am still using even though Mic stopped working after a drop, using hands free instead.

I don't think LG released anything more than lollipop. One firmware then you are on your own.

Nice phones just wish there was more support For them.
You might find my comment a bit off topic but I'm gonna share my experience with this particular seller and LG V20 that I got from them.
I bought it directly from eglobal website paying with PayPal - it's a safer option IMO. The phone was delivered in no time - just a few days later. It came with the US plug.
I liked the phone, however, here are the downsides: after some time I started to notice shadows of the old apps and pictures that have already been closed. Looked like the screen wouldn't refresh. It wasn't too bad, just annoying. Also, the battery life is aweful - half a day of normal usage.
But the most interesting is that a week ago the phone died. It heated up, turned off and would never turn back on. Since I still had warranty from eglobal, I have posted the phone to then (the repair centre is in the UK, not so bad). And now I am waiting for the results. Really curious if they deal with it.
So my conclusion is that eglobal is a good seller (yet not sure about the warranty and support though), LG V20 is not the best phone that I had.
PS now I'm with Honor 10 that I've bagged for £365 with a 2 year warranty.

Nice one, I bought mine from a lady for £380, just like new :P I like LG
Loved LG phones in the past for value for money. Plus the fact that they take great pictures. But due to the fact that my G4 bootlooped and my G6 got the moisture alert issue, I wont be getting another

Has bootlooop issues

I thought that was only the LG G4. Can you provide a link to issues with this model, the G7? I'd like to know more and what your experience is...
Isn't the mi8 with the sd845 going for around the same price?
I'm v tempted by this but the shitty front facing camera prevents me from pressing buy. A shame.

Much better off using credit card if possible as section 75 is UK law whereas PayPal just follow their own process and have final say.
