This is the lowest price I've seen for the LG V30, SIM free. Not a bad price for LG's flagship smartphone.

I'm very tempted by this.

Specifications from GSM Arena: gsmarena.com/lg_…php

You get can £2.50 cashback from Quidco for SIM free handsets, plus if you opt in the £2.50 bonus cashback offer from Quidco (which expires tomorrow) that should give you £5 total back.

Me yesterday: "dont spend too much on a phone, get a G6 if it gets near to £300 on Friday'

Now... this comes along and my brain says "FORGET THE BUDGET. BUY THIS!"

Why HUKD...why u do dis.

That being said, this phone is getting some very mixed reactions to the screen. Anyone know if its worth listening to?

I would love this as my next phone, however the price puts me right off... Its simply not worth it .. the g6 is miles cheaper and this is a slight improvement in terms of software and CPU upgrade.
Is that worth nearly double the g6?

Not voting either way as it's the cheapest v30, just don't think it's worth the crazy amount.

It’s LG. Price will be around £400 by Boxing Day. 😁

I was interested in this phone until my wife's G4 died last week without any signs and loss all the stuff in her phone. Lucky that photos are in the sd card.

Things are good on paper for this phone but the bootloop problem is a big concern for me.

If you're a content maker it's hands down the best video camera you'll get on a device. So much so it could mean you no longer need to carry a DSLR.

It's that good in use cases like that.

Otherwise it's no better than an S8 or any other flagship of the last year.

This is the decision I'm now making, was all for the OP5T but at around the same price the V30 is very tempting

Very good price.
This is better then the 5T, for one its waterproof (IP68), has Hi-Fi DAC and HDR

compared to the note 8 and pixel 2, the v30's camera just isnt as good

What a phone this is Never expected it to come down so soon though. Good for us anyway

I've heard the screen on this is it's only let down?

At what?

Apparently has high quality sound which none of the others have in theirs, if that's what you are after.

I'm thinking V30 for a number of reasons.

The areas the 5T clearly wins in are RAM, selfie camera, dual SIM. It might feel snappier in use but I won't comment either way.

V30 is water resistant, better DAC & mic, screen res, HDR screen. SD card slot if you need more memory.

It's not an easy choice but V30 for me.

This is THE best phone on the market at its price point. The battery is a beast, the camera is winning all the plaudits, has DAC, Oled screen and is pretty much indestructible (the back is at least).

Don't believe me? Go check out all the speed, battery and durability test videos on youtube, this beats all phones(not sure about iPhone X speedwise). The team at LG seem to have squeezed every bit of potential out of the SD835.

The only bad thing I read about this phone it's the selfie camera, but we all know how the reviews can be, any users can give us a hint on that camera?

Also, isn't this phone Dual SIM? Cheers

Amazing price. Have some heat.

Web browsing battery life is supposedly pretty poor, but for calls/watching video it has great battery life.

I was surprised how (relatively) compact the phone seems considering the screen when I looked at one in a store yesterday. I'm tempted, as it felt nice in the hand, but I think it's still a bit too expensive for me at this price.

Camera reportedly not as good in low light for stills as one or two of the competitors despite the fast lens, but I do wonder how much difference you would notice if you weren't specifically zooming in to compare?

A pity the Mate 10 phones aren't out and about yet. A Black Friday deal on one of those would be nice.

Agreed however most of those changes are software.. and the other changes like the CPU, DAC and mic will not have cost more than £30 extra, over the G6. Love this phone to bits... Just can't justify this over the g6 at the current price point. If they offered more memory and charged £100 more than the G6 I would say fair enough.

I'm the same mate, I got the G6 yesterday, buying phones more often then I need/should really. I'm blaming the manufacturers for bringing new ones out every other week, at least that's what I tell the missus

Such a shame it's huge!

Too right, I've got the G6, even that's a bit too big for me, this phone is even bigger. Whyyyyyyyy?

whoah thats come down super fast, a little worrying.

Colour's are awful!

Anyone know if there is a good retailer that will price match this? Or how good mobiles.co.uk returns policy is?

If you want the best Hardware, the V30 all day long. If you want the best software, go for the 5T.

Got to give OP some credit, the V30 is running Nougat and what popped up on my year and a half old OP3 today? Oreo.

Just see one physically and judge that for yourself.

Would have gone for it if it is from a better retailer like JL or Amazon.. Can't take risk with a hit and miss issues with this phone.

Buy S7 edge for £299 if you are not bothered about Snapdragon 835 or exynos 8890 with trade in your phone offer

pretty reputable company, nothing like eglobal central or gearbest

Just been told by LG support staff( doing a RMA for my G5) to avoid the G6 and go for v30 for reliability issues. Wouldn't it say any more.

Hint taken...

Never used mobiles.co.uk what are they like for warranty etc?

Just sent mine back! Screen and camera are amazing but surfing the web and general operation is far from buttery smooth. Shame really! Good price though
Edited by: "IronManShann" 20th Nov

Now showing £795.99 for me.

I'm guessing they got the price wrong.Dammit. Wish I bought it 10 minutes ago when it was still showing £559. I hope they honour the price for those that bought it

Phoned sales. They said they are doing flash deals that only last a few hours so looks like they might have pulled the deal after selling a certain number of phones.
