£2 cheaper than previous deal posted and you get 4GB and unlimited calls and text pm. Bought this last night as had been holding off for a boxing day deal but never seen one so pulled the trigger and bought this. Phone arrives today.

Excellent deal.
Is a good deal for this phone, but 4GB of RAM and LG previous issue now put me off..
Why not order google or oneplus?
I got a g6 from global ecentral. Super phone. Been looking at the specs. This phone seems identical apart from 2 mp better camera

And wireless charging plus enhanced wide angle lens so less fish eye effect. Like you I went from Asian market G6 to V30 and while I dont regret it what I really want is V30 internals in a G6 body. Lets hope the G7 delivers.

Which previous issues?

Both my wife's and my G4s died at a little over a year old - but were fully repaired in less than a week and at no cost by LG. Annoying, but very quickly and easily dealt with, and now we have essentially new phones (new mainboard and battery in each).

Much better customer experience than when I had with an old Samsung smartphone which developed a major fault when only about 6 months old, but still took over a month to repair.

I think is the same issue as yours but it died just a week over two years so nothing can be done. Since there is no way to start it up and it has no signs of dying before so all stuff saved on the phone were gone. I think I had better luck with Samsung as I had about 6 phones with them previously and none of them had any problem (even the old S1 is still running).

I think is the way it die scare me off as she was waiting for me at the station and it just died after a call.
Well the phone arrived and my first impressions are good.

The V30 has a larger AMOLED screen (VR compatible), an improved camera and newer processor.

Because it's LG hardware with Google software (optimised, stable, super smooth and blazing fast) although Stock Android isn't for everyone.

Is it worth spending £699 for it sim free?

No i dont think it is, I would never pay that much for ANY sim free phone.
This also has an in-built DAC which, if you use your phone a lot to listen to music, will make a huge difference in sound quality with decent ear/headphones

Isn't it excluded in the EU model?
Really impressed with the screen on this, i cant see any of the issues that some get with this type of screen.
I just done a wee comparison of the sound with the DAC and the B&O earphones supplied with this against my sons S8 and Samsung earphones and we both agree that out the box the V30 better.

I didn't think so from the reviews I have read but if it is I wouldn't bother with it and it makes the £579 for the 128gb version on eglobal even better value. Below from trusted reviews a UK review site

On first putting the V30 through its paces, I assumed Quad DAC would prove a novelty feature, something that would make my Spotify streams sound marginally better. Actually, it goes beyond this – it’s my single favourite feature of this phone. Listening to music on the V30 is a joy, unmatched by any Samsung or iPhone device.

Only the G6 was excluded not the V30
If this was 8 or 10gb a month I would bite. Sadly I regularly go over 4gb just like a lot of people do these days.

After my G5 I'd be wary of the build quality.
However, 4GB for a smartphone is ample and unlikely to be an issue for a few years. What do you mostly do on it? Web browser and social media?

Facebook, youtube and all the apps are demanding more RAM now, more RAM is better for future proof. Got a Note 8 now and I am very happy with it!

I appreciate that but we are hitting the point of diminishing returns. Enjoy your Note 8!
